How many hours per week will I


work and how much will I be paid?

Your average working week will be around 35 - 45 hours


depending on the property; however any additional hours over
40 Hours will be compensated at the applicable overtime rates or
day off. Contracts vary from property to property but generally
remuneration is minimum $7 to $12 per hour depending on your
qualifications, experience the Company and its location.

It is an investment for your FUTURE; this program will cover you for
your USA J-1 Sponsorship (work permit) and medical insurance,
Dental and Travel insurance. Part of the requirements for the J-1
Visa category is compulsory medical insurance and work permit
costs must be PAID IN FULL before the J-1 Visa can be issued by the
US consulate in your Home country. Please note the cost of your

How Long Will The Process Take?


From the time we receive all your Documents, sponsorship
application forms & the Fees, to the time you depart to USA it can
take anywhere between 6-12 weeks

How Do I Apply?

Can my spouse/partner go with me?

Stage 1

Spouses and/or children under the age of 21 who wish to


accompany or join the principal visa holder in the United States for
the duration of his/her stay require derivative J-2 visas.

To ensure that your application form + fee is processed efficiently


and quickly, please e-mail the following.
Documents to us as listed below:

5. Reference letters from previous employers (at least 3)

8. You will be required to take a free English assessment test
accessible on www.testpodium.com and send your result
to us. Please take English test Level 2

Vira International will be happy to process J-2 Visa for your


spouse also.
Spouses and/or children who do not intend to reside in the United
States with the principal visa holder, but visit for vacations only, may
be eligible to apply for visitor (B-2) visas. The spouse can work only
after obtaining the permission in advance from the United States
Citizenship and Immigration Services and when there is no need for
financial support of the principal J-1 Visa holder.

Can I extend my J-1 Visa?


J-1 Visa is not extendable beyond the maximum program duration
of 12 months. You will be also a subject to a 2 years rule, which says
that J-1 Visa holders are required to reside in their home country for
2 years following completion of their program before they can be
granted an entry to US on J-1 Visa again.

As soon as we receive your registration document and $600 Registration


fees, we will forward your details to major hotels in the USA for an

Stage 2
As soon as you have been advised that your CV has been shortlisted,
we will arrange your telephonic interview.
Stage 3
Once your interview is successful, Vira International will send you
a Letter of Offer, training plan, and details of your Internship from the
host company. You will need to sign & return the following :
1. Letter of Offer
2. Training Plan
Stage 4
You will be able to book an interview at your nearest US Embassy
ONLY if all documents and payments are received at this time.
Interviews are booked 5 weeks in advance of visa interviews and
approval.
You need to pay applicable Visa fee directly to the USA Consulate at
the time of securing your J-1 Visa. THIS PAYMENT IS NOT INCLUDED IN
TOTAL COST.
Stage 5
We will send you the Sponsorship (work permit) documentation DS2019, Medical Coverage & SEVIS fee paid invoice, which will enable
you to secure a J-1 Visa for USA from your nearest US Consulate.
All US consulates require that you physically travel and attend an
interview with the Visa officer to secure a J-1 Visa. This process might
take 3 to 7 days to issue a Visa. Your Passport with the endorsed Visa
will be mailed back to you.
Important: Please do not Book your flight or quit your Job until you
have received your J-1 Visa.

I be transferred to another property


while being in the US?
The transfer is possible only in exceptional circumstances and only
with permission of your legal sponsor in the US (for example when
you are laid off or your contract is terminated due to no fault of
yours). An additional cost may be incurred to change the DS 2019
form (work permit and placement.
Please, note you will not be granted a transfer to another property,
if you are dismissed due to unsatisfactory performance at work,
allegation of harassment or any gross misconduct.

What would happen if my employment was


terminated and I was not given permission
for a transfer to another employer?
If your employment was terminated, you would become outof status and have 30 days (or less) from the effective date of
termination to depart the United States.

How long am I permitted to stay in the


U.S. after My program has ended?
You are permitted to stay for additional 30 days than the initial
admission specified on DS-2019 form, for a purpose of travel. The
30-day grace or travel status period is intended to be a period
following the end of the exchange visitors program and is to be
used for domestic travel and/or to prepare for and depart from the
U.S., and for no other purpose.

Terms & Conditions


Vira International Ltd and its associated offices are the agents
and not the employers. Please initial each of the below
statements:

Vira International will refund the registration fee of USD $600-00 ,


if there was NO interview arranged for you with the US employer
within 4 months from date of registration.

Vira International Ltd represents hotels and resorts in the USA


as well as clients from around the world who request manpower
through Vira International in the UK.

The registration fee will NOT BE REFUNDED, if any of the following


events occur:

Depending on your contract terms and location it is not the


responsibility of your host company in the USA to assist you with
temporary or full term accommodation.
You must be physically and mentally fit to take part in this program.
Upon arrival in the US, you may undergo a medical examination and
drug test. If you do not pass these tests, you may be required to
return back to your point of origin at your own expense.
There will be no refunds given if you fail any of the tests.
Your host company has the right to terminate your training at any
time during the probationary period and has to give you a 30-days
notice after the probation period. Termination may be due to but is
not limited to the following:
a. Inefficiency / unsatisfactory work performance
b. Misconduct
c. Other grounds that may cause loss or damage to company
property, name or reputation.
Addictive drugs in many forms are prohibited in several countries.
Possession and/or usage of those substances may result in
prosecution and imprisonment if found guilty.
Viras International Ltd liability is strictly limited to the refund of
costs paid as per trade practices act 1974 as intended.

If you cancel after a successful interview and after an offer has


been made by the host company, and/or accepted by yourself.
If your Visa has been refused, USD $950-00* of the fees paid, will not
be refunded for the legal costs and services of Vira International
and / or Sponsors.
In case your Visa is refused, you are obliged to return to Vira your
original DS-2019 form with refusal letter provided by the US
Embassy and also copy of passport page showing denial within
3 days to enable us to make a refund of fees paid reduced by
USD$950-00* charged. Failure to do so may result in the payment
not being refunded. * This will be in addition to non - refundable
application fees.
As soon as your documents have reached us, Vira International will
make arrangements to courier these documents to the Sponsor
Company and request them for refunds. Once Vira International
receives credit for the returned documents, your refund process
will start and may take 8 to 10 week.
Vira International Ltd. will not refund any money paid, if any one of
the following events occur:

If your visa is denied at the US consulate due to any criminal


Vira International Ltd is not liable for incidental, special or
offences or false info provided.
consequential damages or losses, including, but not limited to loss
of profits, business, return flight from US, accommodation costs
If you fail the drug test once you have arrived in the USA.
incurred or documentation that may result from any advice given
or services rendered by Vira International employees or representatives If you decide to return to your home country prior to finishing the
entire program for any given reason.
With your signature below you agree and accept that any refunds
are at the absolute discretion of Vira International Ltd.
You understand, agree and accept.

If your training is terminated by your employer due to misconduct.

If there is a delay at the US consulate, due to their Visa


appointments, Vira International Ltd is not responsible for this
delay.
You have to apply for the visa in your home country.
The fees payable for the Program are due as follows:
Non-refundable application fee of $ 250 is required to commence
your J1 Internship / Training registration process.
This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE once Registration has been completed,
Registration fees of $600 are payable in order for us to commence
the process of finding a suitable host company.
USD $4145-00 as a balance payment after an Offer Letter and
Training Plan has been issued by your host Co.; the payment must
reach us no later than within 5 business days from the day the Offer
Letter and Training Plan has been received; Failure to do so may
result in the offer been cancelled.
Custom Placement : Please enquire about additional charges for
Custom Placement.

If you have cancelled to travel to USA once the DS-2019 (work


permit) and or J-1 Visa has been issued.

with this program and any questions I might have had have been

The rate of exchange, and refund amounts will also depend on
exchange rates and subject to all bank transfer fees and costs.
