Mechanicalgalvanization(orRotalyt)isaprocessinwhichzinccoatingsareappliedtopartswithouttheaddition
ofelectricityorheat.
Theprocess:
1.
Theparts,thathavetobegalvanized,arecleaned.Oil,rustanddebrisareremoved.
2. The parts are loaded in a rotary barrel along with water and glass beads of various
sizes.
3.
Duringtheprocess,smallamountsofzincpowderandchemicaladditivesareadded
periodically. The glass beads are used as carriers for the zinc powder. Consequently,
when collisions between the glass beads and the parts occur, zinc particles are
mechanicallyweldedontheparts.Theadditivesareusedtofacilitatetheboundingofthezincpowder
withthemetalparts.
4.
Thepartsarecleanedwithhotwateranddriedinacentrifugaldryer.

5.Glassballspartsseparator:separatesthepartsandtheglassballsfromthemixtureandcleansthem.
6.Recyclingpool:collectsandrecyclesthewaterusedforcleaning.
7.Dryingequipment/heatingfurnace:dryingoftheparts,surfacetreatmentandsurfacereinforcement
