5.

The Proposed System


5.1

System Overview
The system entitled Library System, proposed for the client FEBMS,

functions and alters the current manual borrowing system existing on the client. It aims to
make borrowing less hassle and fast.
The system is LAN-based, the borrowers are need to login from a
computer. Their login credentials are provided by the admin, so they dont need to
register for one. On the list of books there indicated if a book is available for borrowing.
Then, the user will select his desired books, and the information will send to the admin.
On the admin panel, the admin will extract the send information and process the
borrowing, updating the books master list, and getting ready the books for release.
The system includes some modules such as System Lock, which will
disable the system. This requires the admin username and password to be enabled. Login
Security, which gives user 3 attempts for logging in. After 3 failed attempts, the system
will automatically lock the account for 15 minutes, after that the user can login again
his/her account.
