LESSON 3: COLORS P.56-57

A. REVIEWING : Red, Blue, Green, Yellow (10minutes)


Prepare a few objects in red, blue, green, yellow and brown.
Choose the objects they have already learned. (crayon, pencil,
book.) You can choose 4 objects with 4 colors of blue , red,
green, yellow and brown.
Play the game: Running Race
Divide the class into 2 groups.
Place some cards of the color in front of the students with 2
sides.
The teacher says one of the colors and the students have to
collect the right color and then they give the card for the
teacher ,they have to say the name of the color.
The students take turn to play.
Who is faster and have the correct color => will have 1 mark.
Which team has more mark => will be a winner.
B.INTRODUCING NEW COLOR: Orange. (10 MINUTES)
Show picture page 56 on screen.

Introduce the context to the kids and ask them point to the red ,
blue, green ,yellow and brown objects in the pictures.
Tell them that Sammy wants to make his cake new color. Ask
them to guess what color Sammy wants for his cake.
Play the Color song.
After the song, ask the kids to tell you the color they hear that
Sammy wants for the cake . Help them say its Orange while
you point to the color in the picture.
Show the Orange color on screen and teach the kids to say
Orange several times

Pass the crayon.

Review the shapes


First, the teacher reviews the 4 shapes by some flashcards.
Play touch the board game.
We divide the class into 2 groups, make 2 lines.
Stick some flashcards on the board.
The teacher calls out one of the shapes.
Each student listen and come to the board and touch the correct
cards. The student who is faster gets 1 mark. Finally, the team who
has more marks will be the winner.
Review the number

Pass the ball


Teacher indicates each student a number from 1 to 4 in order.
The teacher gives a lucky ball to a student.
Then, the teacher plays a simple song and the students will begin to
pass the ball. The teacher suddenly pauses the song. The student
who is holding the ball have to call out his/her number.
Review the colors
A. GAME: Action race ( 10 minutes)
Have the kids split into two teams and stand in
lines at one end at the back of the classroom.
Stick the picture cards of classroom items on
board.
Teach says Jump to the flashcard of yellow.
2 kids from 2 teams will jump to the flashcard of
yellow.
The first kid who jumps into the card and says:
Yellow will win a point for the team.
B. INTRODUCE THE NUMBER 5 (5 Minutes)

1. Karaoke. ( 10 minutes)

2. ITS A SHAPE ( 15 minutes).


- Divide the kids into 2 teams
- Spread out 2 sets of shapes (circles, triangles, squares)
- Give them a sample of doll, which is created by the shapes that theyve learned.
- One by one take turn to pick up a shape and run to the board as quick as they
can to complete the doll on the board. Before they stick, they must say Its a
[circle]
- The team who completes the doll first will be the winner.
Color the handouts (numbers, shapes)
Homework
-Ask the kids to do the workbook page 43

Review/ Assessment.

Using the flashcards to review the food vocabulary.


The teachers have to hide the flashcards in order not to let the kids
know what they are.
Let the kids guess until they have the correct answer.
Review the structure I like, I dont like
Play the game Pass the marker.

Have the kids sit in the circle.


Play the song. ( which you think the kids may like).
Let the kids pass the marker until you pause the song. Who is holding
the marker will pick up a card and say I like or I dont like.
Continue until the song finishes.
Review the Numbers.
Ask the kids to jump 1, 2 5 depends on the number which the
teacher calls out.
