Analysis
1. The bottom side of Fuse Cut Out shown in Area 2 was 50.1C (15.6C hotter than
reference Area 3 (34.5C), while Area 2 was 38.7C (4.2C hotter than reference Area 3
(34.5C), but did not exceed above 75C for temperature limit baseline refer to Table
1(b): Reference Conditional Explanation of Symmetrical Load Electrical (Bare
Overhead Conductors)).
2. The top side of Fuse Cut Out shown in Area 6 was 44.6C (10.0C hotter than reference
Area 5 (34.6C), while Area 4 was 40.3C (5.7C hotter than reference Area 5 (34.6C),
but did not exceed above 75C for temperature limit.
3. Possible causes of local temperature increase are one or combination of these; oxides,
dirty materials, improper contact, physically defect or internal problems.
Note: Dismantle, clean up and check all suspected
fuses, fingers & their terminations. Repair/replace if
necessary. Retighten/re-torque/re-align all connections
when reinstalling.
