OptionA
Lead an 8-hour training session for all Clarke Central High School teachers.
Trainers will teach all teachers during a 3-hour session in the media center
with a walk-through and visual aids (examples of diverse Google Classroom
websites, other web resources to incorporate, etc.).
Trainers will facilitate a 2-hour work session to allow teachers to gain handson experience building their Google Classroom and uploading content. A 1hour training session will be used to guide teachers to expand their pedagogy
to support the thorough use of Google Classroom.
There would be no need for coverage of instructional staff, as this would
occur on a professional learning day without students present.
OptionB
Lead an 8-hour training session for administrators and department heads of
Clarke Central High School. Trainers will train each administrator and
department head during a 1.5-hours meeting in the media center during the
regular school day and then allocate 1.5-hours for the department heads to
train the rest of their department in their department meetings that will occur
at different times during the day. Though administrators will not train
teachers, they need intimate knowledge of the resources of Google
Classroom when conducting teacher evaluations.
Administrators and department heads will have written step-by-step
directions to supplement instruction. Department heads and administrators
will create their own well-utilized Google Classroom as an example for
instructional staff within one week from the training day.
Option B will require classroom coverage during the school day for
department heads. The administrator training will occur after school since
their duties must be performed during the school day. The after school
training session for administrators will be for 1.5 hours.
