VISUAL AND MECHANICAL INSPECTION


Inspect physical and mechanical condition for any damage, or overload burn mark.
Inspect anchorage, alignment, and grounding.

Perform insulation resistance tests on all control wiring with respect to ground. Applied potential
shall be 500 volts dc for 300 volt rated cable and 1000 volts dc for 600 volt rated cable. Test
GM duration shall be one minute. For units with solid-state components or for control devices that
can not tolerate the applied voltage, follow manufacturers recommendation.

GM Verify or calibrate settings and operation of all control relay and timing devices.

Verify that current and voltage transformer ratios and all components nameplates correspond to
