RELATION OF ADOLESCENT PERCEPTION ABOUT

MENSTRUATION WITH REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS HYGIENE
DURING MENSTRUATION BEHAVIORAL IN SMP MUHAMMADIYAH
06 DAU, MALANG

Background: Adolescent perceptions about menstruation is one of factors that
influence the reproductive organs hygiene during menstruation behavior. If the
perception of menstruation are negative, it may caused the negative behavior also in
the reproductive organs hygiene during menstruation, that will have an impact on
reproductive health.
Purpose: To determine the relationship adolescents perception about mentruation
with reproductive organs hygiene during menstruation behavior.
Methods: This was an observation study with cross sectional design. 60 respondents
famele student already menstruated as population, selecteed by total sampling
technique. Was measure used a closed questionnaire that has been tested validity and
reliability and bivariat analysis used chi square statistical test.
Results: Based on the result of the study showed that adolescents perception about
menstruation have a positive perception and positive behavior in the reproductive
organs hygiene during menstruation. Chi-square test results with SPSS obtained a
relationship the adolescent perception about menstruation with reproductive organs
hygiene during menstruation behavior (p=0,000).
Conclusion: There is a relationship adolescent perception about menstruation with
reproductive organs hygiene during menstruation behavior in SMP Muhammadiyah
06 Dau , Malang.
Discussion: Based on these result, it is suggested to leaders and teaching staff of SMP
Muhammadiyah 06 Dau, Malang to increase students perception about menstruation,
so that forming a reproductive organs hygiene during menstruation behavior better.
Because the more positive adolescents perception about mentruation will more also
the positive reproductive organs hygiene during menstruation behavior.

HUBUNGAN PERSEPSI REMAJA TENTANG MENSTRUASI DENGAN
PERILAKU KEBERSIHAN ORGAN REPRODUKSI SAAT MENSTRUASI
DI SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 06 DAU, MALANG.

Latar belakang : Persepsi remaja tentang menstruasi merupakan salah satu faktor
yang mempengaruhi perilaku kebersihan organ reproduksi saat menstruasi. Jika
persepsi tentang menstruasi negatif maka dapat membentuk perilaku yang negatif juga
dalam kebersihan organ reproduksi saat menstruasi, yang bisa berdampak negatif pada
kesehatan reproduksi.
Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi remaja tentang menstruasi dengan
perilaku kebersihan organ reproduksi saat menstruasi.
Metode : Penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasi dengan desain cross sectional.
Populasi sebanyak 60 siswa perempuan yang sudah mengalami menstruasi, yang
diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling. Diukur menggunakan kuesioner tertutup
yang telah diuji validitas dan reabilitasnya dan analisa bivariat menggunakan uji statistik
Chi Square.
Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa persepsi remaja tentang
menstruasi memiliki persepsi yang positif dan memiliki perilaku kebersihan organ
reproduksi saat menstruasi yang positif juga. Hasil uji statistik chi square dengan SPSS
menunjukkan ada hubungan antara persepsi remaja tentang menstruasi dengan
perilaku kebersihan organ reproduksi saat menstruasi (p=0,000).
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan persepsi remaja tentang menstruasi dengan perilaku
kebersihan organ reproduksi saat menstruasi di SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Dau, Malang.
Diskusi : Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diharapkan pihak sekolah dan guru di SMP
Muhammadiyah 06 Dau, Malang untuk lebih meningkat persepsi siswa tentang
mentruasi, sehingga terbentuk perilaku kebersihan organ reproduksi saat menstruasi
yang lebih baik lagi. Karena semakin positif persepsi remaja tentang mentruasi maka
akan semakin positif juga perilaku kebersihan organ reproduksi saat mentruasi.
