Session/Topic

The session on Utilization of Assessment Data will discuss on how the scores taken from
the test are being organized, presented, analyzed and interpreted for the learners and
teachers and other stakeholders of education. This will help them make adjustments in
the operation of the school in general and instruction in particular.

How does this contribute

to the program
outcomes?

This session will delve on the stages of test construction to guide the future classroom
teachers in having quality teacher-made tests. This will ensure the FLVC students to be
able to demonstrate skills in writing good test items in measuring knowledge and
thinking skills of the learners.

Key Understandings

When making a test at first was very critical if you do not have any foundation or
knowledge about it that is why it is imperative.

the end of the session, the participants will be able to :

differentiate between learning outcome and learning activity
point out the parts of the Table of specification
construct a TOS on a self-chose grade level subject
Clarify the different types of teacher-made test according to their nature and use
State the rules in constructing tests
Construct self-made test items based on the TOS and guidelines in writing test items

ACTIVITY:

Say: Ask the participants to group

themselves in five (5) groups. Before
discussing per type of test, each group is
tasked to create one (1) example per type of
test (depends on what type of test is to be
discussed).
After discussion, each group will be called
randomly (by picking their sequence number)
to present their output in that specific type
of test which was previously explained.
Outputs will be synthesized if participants
met the rules and content in creating that

without prior knowledge about it?

CLOSURE

Do: Wrap up the session by showing the quote by

De philosopher DJ Kyos and say thank you to
the participants.
Some things in life are like exam or tests.
You never ready until you do them. It doesnt
matter how much you studied or prepared or
how long you studied or prepared. You never
ready until you write the exam or test. Its
normal to be scared but let that not stop you
from archiving what you want. Dont
postpone because its scares you or you think
you are not ready. If there is any perfect time
its now yesterday its gone. Just do it. Thats
when you will know if you were ready or
not.
