If you are a Christian, attend church, listen to
Christian radio/tv, Im sure you have heard the
above verse receited often in recent times. Its not
hard to see that our land needs healing. There
are all types of plans discussed during election
times about how to put our country on the right
track. In the midst of all the personal bashing we
seem to be hearing lately, its still possible to get
a hint at some of the plans our candidates have in
mind. I wouldnt want the job of figuring out any of
the problems we face. It also seems impossible
for our government to agree on anything let alone
actually put a good plan in action. The problems
are astronomical and if you are anything like me
you may be feeling hopeless with the choices that
we have been given to lead us. Given might not
be the correct word since there were primaries but
WOW!
Im praying that we can find a way to come together and live peacefully together, but it sure does
seem like the divide in our country is getting broader all the time.
I have said over and over lately that I just didnt
think I could bring myself to vote at all. Of course
this statement gets me in lots of hot water and
comments like: you wont have any right to complain, you must exercise your freedoms, etc.
Okay, Ill figure something out! Can I use a LOL in
print?
Regardless of the outcome on election day, I am
committed to pray for our leaders and humble
myself before God. He is able to work through
imperfect people. We must trust God. Our job as
Christians is to reach the world for Christ and I for
one am ready to hear more about the Gospel and
less about gloom and doom.
