Version : 16.1
Date

: 15-Jul-2016

Hardware : dSPACE : MicroAutoBox II with DS1512 or DS1514

Piggyback DS1553 for DS1512 / DS1514
Software : dSPACE : Release 2016-A
TMW
: all supported Matlab versions of specific dSPACE Release
Project engineer : Christian Lindemann - dSPACE GmbH
Frank Wischmeier
- dSPACE GmbH
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update Hints:
* A change of the blockset version may also require a firmware change of the FP
GA
on the DS1512.
* When updating from a former version please delete the sub-folder
%model_name%_rti1401 from your project to ensure all files are recompiled.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Change history:
Version 16.1
- Update: Documentation now describes how to install and uninstall the
DS1553 I/O Module
- Changed: No 32-Bit installer needed any more
Version 15.2
- New: Support for new DS1514 FPGA Board.
- Bugfix: EnDat now waits up to 1 ms for sensor to respond.
Version 15.1
- Update: Internal DSMSU Library
- Update for dSPACE Release 2015-A
Version 14.1.1p1
- Bugfix: ADC Block now reads the calibration data from the DS1553. If
there is no data available it tries to read the data from the DS1512.
- Bugfix: Installer did not work with evaluation licenses.
Version 14.1.1
- New: If a block commutation block is present in the model, it is now
possible to use a different motor assignment than "1"
- Changed: New implementation of the SSI interface. Allows a better
electrical stability for higher data rates.
- Changed: Library and demo models were converted to .slx format.
Version 14.1
- Changed: Minor changes in the Solution's documentation
Version 13.2p1
- Bugfix: ADC2,4,6,8 provide voltages of ADC1,3,5,7
- Bugfix: Motor Assignment "Other" in EnDat Block did not work

Version 13.2
- New: BiSS Interface (RAW data).
- New: Japanese Documentation (previous version)
- Changed: Minor changes in the Solution's documentation
Version 13.1p1
- Bugfix: Resolved timing problem. Incremental encoder sometimes calculates
impossible speeds.
Version 13.1
- New: Support for 64-Bit MATLAB Versions
- Change: Minor changes in the Solution's documentation
- Bugfix: HW-Watchdog could block outputs when using Inline Parameters.
- Bugfix: Input mode for DigIn7 and DigIn8 could not be configured to
single-ended.
- No changes to FPGA code. Firmware of Release 7.2 is still valid.
Version 7.4
- Change: All blocks now open the PDF document instead of a HTML page when
pressing the help button in the block masks. If you are using Adobe Reader
or Foxit Reader to view PDF documents the documentation will automatically
open at the proper chapter.
- Change: The FPGA update applications are now copied to the installation
directory during the installation process.
- No changes to FPGA code. Firmware of Release 7.2 is still valid.
- Minor bugfixes / changes
Version 7.3p1
- Bugfix: Installer did not work with versions >3.3.1 of the dSPACE Installatio
n
Manager.
Version 7.3
- Bugfix: Derivative Velocity of Incremental Encoder and Resolver did not
work correctly during change of PWM frequency.
- Some blocks now open the PDF document instead of a HTML page when pressing
the help buttons in the block masks.
- No changes to FPGA code. Firmware of Release 7.2 is still valid.
- Minor bugfixes / changes.
Version 7.2p1
- Bugfix: Some minor installation problems. No changes to FPGA code.
Version 7.2
- New: Installation concept. Solution is now installed outside the dSPACE RCP&H
IL
software folder in an own directory. The Solution is also visible in the dSPA
CE
Installation Manager.
- New: Setup block has new output for watchdog state and generates a message if
the
watchdog triggers.
- Changed: Startup behavior of the PWM synchronous interrupt. Prevents task-ove
rruns by
adding the parameter "Initial PWM frequency" to the commutation blocks.
- Bugfix: Interrupts may hang if multiple IRQ sources were used in the model.
- Bugfix: Possible timing problem with the DACs
- Bugfix: Possible timing problem with multiturn SSI / EnDat encoders. Sync of
revolution and position register was not always guaranteed.

- Minor bugfixes
Version 7.1p1
- Bugfix: 14 bit resolver resolution only provides 12 bits.
- Bugfix: Error while opening demo models from library.
Version 7.1
- New: 10 Bit resolution for Resolver interface for higher motor speeds.
- New: Position interrupt block now supports additional interrupts at user defi
ned angles.
- Changed: Pinning of the extended PWM units. See chapter 5.8.1
- Bugfix: Error in Hall angle extrapolation when the direction of the motor cha
nges.
- Bugfix: Error in Hall input de-bounce logic.
- Minor bugfixes
