 ELDFISK 2/7S, Norway: EPC contract with ConocoPhillips to deliver the topside
and bridges of the production platform for the Eldfisk 2/7 S, in the North Sea.
 Design of major & minor outfitting structures of offshore platform
topside which includes Design of pipe racks, Major equipment supporting
platforms & external decks of platform.
 Design of External deck area: Analysis & Design of 30 m ht.-14 m width seven
level major deck structure supported on main steel. Main purpose of external is
support lay-down storage containers. Check for ALS (Blast Loads & Exceptional
winds), ULS & SLS load conditions.
 Tote Tank supporting Structure & crane boom rest design: Design of combined
structure provided for Tote tank platform & crane boom rest. Check for ALS, ULS
& SLS load conditions.

 OMPL: ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals (OMPL) for setting up an aromatics
complex at the Mangalore Special Economic Zone. L&T is LSTK contractor
and L&TChiyoda is detailed engineering center for this EPC project. Project was
divided in three areas namely LSTK-1, 2, 3.





Design of steel operating structure - Analysis & design of steel

operating structure in STAAD-pro & preparation of design report for
approval from PMC(TOYO).
Checking of fabrication drawings of structure.
Design of combined foundations.
Design of Equipment foundations- Analysis & design of all static
equipments foundations within LSTK-3 area using in-house Excel Sheets &
Foundation 3D software. Preparation of design report & drawing for
approval from PMC (TOYO, India).

 Manifa 380/115kV BSP, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia:


Design of 115kV GIS building- Modeling of 115kV GIS building in STAAD.

Its analysis and design as per ACI code. Preparation & checking of detailed
design document & drawing. Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards are
adhered while designing structure.
Some of main highlights are mentioned below,
 Finite element modeling for accurate results-Raft modeled as
plate elements and spring supports are given to plate nodes to model
soil.

Basement modeled as plate elements to consider mobile substation

load & soil surcharge.
 Ground floor slab modeled in plates to consider heavy GIS equipments
loads as per vendor. Ground floor slab was considered as plane stress
element only.
Design of cable tunnel- Task includes design of 50 m length cable tunnel
which was modeled in STAAD.Pro by using plate elements. Model is analyzed
for dead load, soil pressure & mobile substation load. Raft, side walls & top
slab are designed based on ACI-318.
Design & drawings of communication duct banks & manholes.
Design of bus duct supporting structure as per AISC code.
Preparation of detail design document to submit it to SEC for review.






 Mahindra & Mahindra, Chakan Pune:






Design of office building- Modeling of 10 x 60 m office building in STAAD.

Its analysis and design. Preparation & checking of detailed design drawing in
AutoCAD.
Design of substation building- Modeling of 10 x 60 m Substation building
taking into considerations of PEB PORTAL FRAME loads on building columns.
Its analysis and design. Design of corbels to support PEB portals. Preparation
& checking of drawings.
Design of cooling tower area- Preparation STAAD model as per mechanical
layout of cooling tower area. Main load coming on structure was cooling tank
load of 60 Tons on RCC slab on which it was resting. Preparation of Design
and detail drawing. Design of pipe rack. Taking inter-departmental clearances
to issue on site.
Design of foundations for PEB portals- Design of foundations for PEB
portal frames as per forces received from PEB vendors. Preparation of EXCEL
sheets for force data analysis.
Design of conveyer supporting steel structure- Modeling & analysis of
conveyer support structure as per Vendor drawing. Design the members for
the STAAD forces as per IS-800.
