Overview on NSTP CWTS 101

SIC is an academic institution recognizes its role in community development.
Through the implementation of The National Service Training Program (NSTP),
civic consciousness and defense preparedness of the youth shall be intensified.
Trainings in the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) shall prepare students
for possible defense service; Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) Program will
eventually enhance civic consciousness through service and commitment for the
welfare of the community. Students shall be involved on various programs and
activities corollary to the Isabelan Values Religious, Mores and Culture.
NSTP-CWTS 101 (Lecture) is a program designed to enhance the civic
consciousness of students by developing the value of service and commitment for
the welfare and betterment of life of all members of the community. It also aims to
strengthen the students' active participation in the program and activities intended
to uplift the different dimensions of development in accordance to the Isabelan
Values of Religious, Mores at Culture.

REFLECTION:
On our first day we interview
those people who belong to a
4ps member which are known
as pangtawid buhay program
that governments implemented
for those people who belong to a low class of society. In my interview I realize that
I am so lucky to have a life I have now because a lot of people are suffering from
poverty and luckily I have someone who will provide my needs. I see how life of
those people is hard they live in small houses and
they cant provide their child needs because they
dont have enough money to support for the needs of
their child. Some youth in those barangay are out of
school youth because of poverty they cant afford to
go to school that make me realize how lucky me and my classmates are because we
are able to go to school every day and learn a lot of lessons that will help us to
become professional someday. Seeing a situation like that me make inspire and
become determine to work hard and study hard so that I can able to sustain my life
and I will help other people whos in need.

In our second day of service we teach Basic English, Math, Filipino and
Values to those scholars member of 4Ps which are known as pangtawid buhay but
before we start our teaching we try to introduce themselves and asking them what

they want to be.

And that day we
meet

those

children who will

go to teach we
have

an

opportunity

to

meet

them

and

their parents. So glad that we are able to inspire youths and we are able to teach
them some knowledge we have as an Isabelan being a young educators for young
individuals make us a hero because even once in our life we are able to say that
someone

learn from us.

In the third day

continuation of our
community service we teach those
youth who are the scholars of 4ps
about the core values of Santa Isabel
as an Isabelan its an opportunity for us to teach to other people about our school
core value in that way we already promote our school and as a Isabelan I am proud
that I belong to this institutions. We teach them about Santa Isabel core value and
how important those value are in our light. We discuss that being Christ centered
make our pains and sadness goes always because through faith in our god we are
able to survive every trials we have and we also share that being compassionate to

the poors will make us a good and better inviduals and we will receive more than
e expect if we help others without expecting in return. Helping is unconditionally
thats why I am happy that I serve others in my own way.

In the last day of our community service we continue our teaching

about Santa Isabel and we have a little bonding after the program. We have a mini
celebration we prepare foods and programs for our students. Seeing how happy
they are is a priceless it will make me remember that once in my life I was able to
help other people .NSTP subject and this community service makes me learn
something. Helping other is not about having a lot of money its about one person
passion to help other people. Helping other is not about money always its about
the willingness of one person to help other people.

RECOMMENDATION OR SUGGESTION:
What I recommend is to improve our teaching method by providing a
materials for our student. And I also recommend to have a lesson plan so that we
can teach student more lessons. More programs that will make our student to
participate and to enjoy our teaching.

I recommend that the venue is more presentable and pleasing to the eyes so student
will be more comfortable in their places while they are learning
