Role Context
Mission

Establish and lead a major project or program within the Telstra Service Operations
program of work, encompassing end-to-end delivery of all aspects of the project/program.

Strategic
Alignment

Lead the implementation of new/enhanced business capability, management of


project/program risk and enabling the management of benefits.

Outcomes

Establishment and maintenance of senior stakeholder engagement and communication


Ensure outcomes from projects meet business requirements, cost constraints and
specified timeframes
Foster collaboration and engagement across teams / functions / business units

Key Accountabilities
Primary Accountabilities:
1. Provide leadership and direction for effective end-to-end project delivery within the agreed financial
envelope. Drive prompt resolution where issues/risks of cost, benefits and plan arise.
2. Enable the development of the project business case, supporting and facilitating its approval
3. Ensure stakeholder engagement and the delivery of new products and/or services from the projects
meets business requirements
4. Monitor and control progress at a strategic level and provide regular reports on project progress
5. Oversee procurement and manage third-party contributions to the project on behalf of Telstra

Qualifications/Experiences

SUCCESS PROFILE PROJECT MANAGER

Tertiary qualification - Finance or Business discipline preferred


Professional certification or accreditation in project or program management such as PMP or MSP, and
preferably membership of a suitable professional association.
Professional certification or accreditation in ITIL or experience delivering projects in a service managed
organisation.
5+ years experience leading projects/programs with a value of $5m+ projects
Demonstrated knowledge and application of project and program management and change management
methods, techniques and standards
Familiarity with project management using Clarity/EPM tools.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with proven ability establishing and maintaining both internal and
external stakeholder relationships
Experience working within telecommunications domain preferred
