AHEAD-PRO is a computational web-based platform to continuously


monitor the health of the fleet, providing timely maintenance
information in a friendly and straightforward way.
With AHEAD-PRO aircraft systems health condition is systematically
assessed and unplanned maintenance of monitored systems is
avoided by means of failures occurrence prediction.
Moreover the activities of fault identification, troubleshooting and
resources planning occur before the aircraft lands its destination,
optimizing airline turn-around-time between flights.
AHEAD-PRO offers functionalities to optimize all steps to execute
Health Monitoring process in the airline, from data acquisition to timeto-failure prognosis.

Prognostic
Besides basic alert functionalities, AHEAD-PRO implements state-of-art
prognostics techniques (similar to Engine Trending) which results in
decreased unscheduled maintenance activities of monitored systems.
AHEAD-PRO will automatically alert MOC every time Health Indexes
indicates an imminent failure event.

Technical Requirements

On the aircraft side


CMC module part number 7026548-1902 or 7034055-1901
Request Embraer PS for enabling parameter additional Maintenance Options in
APM Options file (see slide 17 for details)
At least one CMF (Communications Management Function) installed
For aircraft with Pentium M: Epic Load 23 or higher must be installed
For aircraft with Pentium II: Epic Load 23 or higher must be installed
APM Options file installed
ACMF installed (for aircraft with chronic failure indications only)

Technical Requirements

On the airline side

ACARS provider able to deliver reports to Embraer FTP site;

FlyEmbraer access to eTechPubs;

To have a Windows computer with web browser in a version compatible with AHEAD-PRO and
a permanent broadband internet connection

Airline must deliver templates of OOOI reports to the AHEAD-PRO development team;

Airline must provide IP address of the machine that will be accessing Embraer FTP in order to
configure FlyEmbraer firewall tables;

Airline must initiate report transferring to the Embraer-designated FTP site as data (address,
username and password) informed by Embraer in writing;

For existent and future AHEAD-PRO prognostics features: Airline must plan periodic QAR data
downloads transferring to the Embraer-designated FTP site informed by Embraer in writing (be
part of its scheduled maintenance program);

: At this time only SAGEM QAR is homologated.

Technical Requirements

On EMBRAER side
Analysis of samples of the OOOI and coded reports - CAS and CMC provided
by airline and/or its selected ACARS provider
Make available to Airline and its ACARS provider FTP Technical data (address,
username and password)
Register airline fleet in the AHEAD-PRO application and check if all Aircraft
data is processed, validated and displayed

Note: current lead time for AHEAD-PRO implementation in an Operator is 1 to 2


months after Parameter additional Maintenance Options is enabled in the Aircraft
to be monitored.

AHEAD-PRO BASIC Package
Display Aircraft fault messages: A real-time and user-friendly interface to follow Aircraft
fault messages.
Automatic e-mail notification on single events: Allow users to acknowledge
component/systems failures or other monitored events through e-mails (easily accessible
with their smart phones).
Multiple FHDB Smart decoder: It includes a nuisance messages removal filter, presenting
user with only relevant information about the health condition of the monitored
systems/components.
Fleet Monitoring View screen: User can visualize its entire fleet condition in a highly
optimized way (fast and reliable).
Access dispatch condition before Aircraft reaches destination: Anticipate maintenance
actions to increase your fleet availability.
Direct link to technical publications from fault messages: Expedite troubleshooting by
accessing relevant technical publications associated with each fault message:
CMC/CAS History Report: Quickly search and visualize when CMC/CAS messages of
interest where triggered in a particular Aircraft.
Other reports: Allow users to extract data visualized in AHEAD-PRO BASIC in different
formats.

Annual Fee = USD 2,750.00 / Aircraft (EC 2015)
