HIGHLIGHTS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

ASMECHANICAL QUALITY INSPECTOR:
Hands on experience of pre-welding, in-process welding and post welding
engineering in workshop as well as at field of all welding operations and associated
variables for Butt, Fillet and Sockets welds on materials such as CS, SS, Cr-MO, CuNi, etc.
Experience surveillance, inspection & supervision in workshop as well as at field of
all welding operations and associated variables for Butt, Fillet and Sockets welds on
materials such as CS, LTCS, SS, Cr-MO, Cu-Ni, etc.
Experience on essential inspection aids, as per applicable construction and relevant
standards, including signing off the daily welding & NDT reports.
Experience on Witnessing all applicable NDT (VT, RT, PT, MT& UT) and daily
radiographs review, interpretation &evaluation.
Inspection and action prior to erection of Piping

Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of piping and

fittings.
Verify proper size and schedule of pipe, rating of flanges, proper flange face and
fittings.
Verify that hardness of pipe has been checked if required by specifications.
Inspect piping just before erection to verify that interior is clear of foreign materials.
Check edge preparation and fit-ups to verify that areas to be welded are free of
contaminants and that fit-up is within tolerance.

Inspection during erection of Piping

Check flow direction arrows on valves, verify that the properly identified valves are
installed in accordance with the flow diagram.
Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with
the piping drawings and the pipe support details.
Confirm the piping system concurs with flow diagrams to verify completeness of
system.

Witnessing for testing and performance testing

Verify initiation of field piping and equipment pressure test punch list. Ensure
correction or completion of punch list items.
Verify preparation of piping test package including piping test record.
Check and assure that all joints are exposed for examination during pressure test.
Ensure that isolation or disconnection of equipment not to be tested. Check vents are
open when filling and draining lines.
Witness final pressure tests, including verification that pressure gauges have adequate
dial range and is calibrated.
