Institutions(HEIs)TeachersTrainingCourseattheJMRHBuilding,AteneodeZamboangaUniversity,
LaPurisimaSt.,ZamboangaCity,onOctober2428,2016,Module1(BusinessAnalytics).
InformationTechnologyisessentiallyaboutprovidingbetterinsightsparticularlyintheextensiveuseof
operational data stored in transactional system, statistical and quantitative analyses, exploratory and
predictivemodeling,andfactsbasedmanagementtodrivedecisionmakingforoptimalresults.
TheSpecialTrainingProgramonInformationTechnologyforfacultyofHigherEducationInstitutionsis
aimed at building the capability of HEIs to offer programs and courses in Business Analytics. The
knowledgeandskillstobegainedbythefacultywillenablethemtodevelopandofferanalyticscourses
for other disciplines and degree programs, including the creation of graduate degree programs and
lifelong/continuingeducationcoursesinanalytics.
This training program is a component of the Faculty Development Program II under the Continuing
professional Education (CPE). It shall focus on the enablement of faculty members of HEIs to teach
undergraduateandgraduatestudentsofBusinessAdministrationProgramwithspecializationtrackon
Business Analytics per CHED Memorandum Order No. 11, series of 2013 and Information Technology
Education.

GUIDELINES

A.EligibilityRequirementsforFaculty
1. The faculty applicant must be a Filipino citizen who is currently in a public or private higher
education institution and handling courses related to business analytics course. The faculty
applicantmustnothavetakenthetrainingforthesameBusinessAnalyticscourseofferedunder
theCHEDFacultyDevelopmentProgram.Facultymembersfromthesendinghighereducation
institutionwhoareplanningorwillingtooffertheBusinessAnalyticsTrackmayalsoparticipate
inthetrainings.
2. Applicants must submit the following documents directly to the contact person or program
coordinator:
A. AccomplishedTrainingApplicationForms.
B. Recommendationofthedepartmenthead/chairwiththeapprovalfromtheheadofthe
SHEI(Deanslevelandabove)andwithcertificationregardingemploymentstatus.

B.ResponsibilityoftheSendingHigherEducationInstitution

1. RecommendthefacultyapplicantbasedontheestablishedcriteriaapprovedbyCHED.
2. Providetravelallowanceandforothermiscellaneousexpenses.
3. Ensurethatthetrainedfacultyrenderatleastonetermofreturnservicetotheinstitutionfor
everycompletionofafive(5)daytrainingcourse.

C.ResponsibilityoftheGrantee

1. EnterintoaTrainingContractwithhis/herSHEI.
2. ParticipateintheSpecialTrainingProgramforBusinessAnalytics.

3. coordinate with the CHED in monitoring the progress of the GRANTEE under the
program;
4. havetherighttorecommendtheterminationofthetrainingprogramoftheGRANTEE
dueto:
a. justifiable grounds which prove the inability of the GRANTEE to complete his/her
trainingcourse;
b. commission of any act of immorality, drunkenness, dishonesty, discourtesy, and any
formofmisconduct;and
c. convictionofanycrimebyacourtoracompetentadministrativebody;
5. ensurethattheGRANTEErenderatleastonetermofreturnservicetotheinstitutionfor
everycompletionofafive(5)daytrainingcourse;
6. reimburse CHED the training cost of the GRANTEE in case it recalls the latter without
validreasonsandpriornoticetotheCHED;
7. provide CHED a certification that the GRANTEE had already rendered a return service
fromhis/hertrainingasrequiredintheprogram;and

1. enterintoaTrainingContractwithhis/herSHEI;
2. participateintheSpecialTrainingProgramforBusinessAnalytics;
3. reimburse CHED the total assistance released to him/her, in case of willful
abandonmentofthetrainingprogram,grossmisconductandnoncompliancewiththe
termsandconditionsstipulatedintheTrainingContract;
4. seek CHED permission, at least 2 weeks, before leaving the country while the training
contractisstillinforce;
5. rendertherequiredreturnserviceofatleastonetermforeverycompletionofafive(5)
daytrainingcourse;
6. uponsuccessfulcompletionofthetrainingprogram,submitCertificateofCompletionof
ReturnServicetotheCHED.
