Joining your squares

1.
Crochet around the loom squares with two to three rows of single
crochet stitches, then lay them on top of each other with their wrong
sides together. Using the crochet needle, take up the inward-facing
stitches of each pair of squares.

2.
Using a contrasting yarn, crochet a chain stitch. Take up the next two
inward-facing stitches, then crochet a chain stitch through all three
stitches.

3.
Repeat this process until every square is joined to the others as
desired.
Tip: You can alternatively use a coordinating colour for the chain stitch.

Joining your rectangles

4.
Lay the loom rectangles on top of each other with their right sides
together. Using the crochet needle, take up the stitch bundles facing
each other and crochet them together with a chain stitch.

5.
Crochet three chain stitches.

6.
Take up the next two stitch bundles and crochet them together with
a chain stitch. Repeat this process until every rectangle is joined to the
others as desired.
