I looked at the title sequence of the opening credits of a film called Catch Me if you Can to get a rough ideas of what our opening scene credits could look like.
The first thing you see in the
credits video is the word DreamWorks. This promotes the company and lets the audience see that they are watching a film from one of the most popular film productions.
Next in the video we are
shown the company and production responsible for the film.
The first person credited is
Steven Spielberg who is the director of the film. The fact that he is first to be mentioned tells us how big his role is when it comes to the making of the film. From this we can see that our director should be acknowledged first. The next person to be mentioned is Leonardo DiCaprio, since he is the main character.
The next person to be
credited is Tom Hanks, he plays a key role in the movie, and we can see this because he is mentioned even before the title of the
The next thing to be
shown is the title of the film which is Catch Me if you Can
Later in the short clip, for the first
time we see more than one actor being mentioned at same time. this shows us that these actors roles were not as important as the actors mentioned at the beginning.
Near the end of the clip
other important people who helped with the productions are mentioned, such as other actors, editors, producers etc.
