Why I Choose Law Major at Parahyangan Catholic

University

Since I entered to Senior High School, I realize that I love something

which is related to society, rules, politics, and overseas problems. I also keen
on mass media about some cases in Indonesia and foreign country so that is
why I conclude to choose these majors; they are International Relationship
and Law. After having several considerations, I decided to choose Law
department as my future career.
There are some reasons why I choose Law Faculty at Parahyangan
Catholic University. First, law major is very universal and guaranteed. It also
has wide prospects for job vacation. In my opinion, law faculty is not only
being judges, lawyers, prosecutors and notaries but also for others
occupation. You may see some graduations work at bank as ODP, PPS, MT
and also as marketing. It shows how law is needed in all part of our life.
Second, I want to enhance my knowledge especially at law interest. As
proverb said that sambil menyelam minum air (as diving also drink water),
it means I am sure for having a job through law department and also for
fulfilling my interest at law major. Enhancing law knowledge is very
interesting. Can you image that law is inclusive in our daily activities?
Starting from the small environment like school till the large one has rules.
For example; if you did not do your job, then you get punishment and be
disciplined by the teachers. It is only a simple case in a small environment.
Moreover, law is the main part of a country. It is impossible if a country runs
without any rules. Nowadays, some news report how is our country and
several lawmakers are included. By those reasons, I really want to be a law
stakeholder to make a better future.
Third, I choose law department at Parahyangan Catholic University
because I am sure that UNPAR will give me perfect facilities to support my
education. I have already read that Parahyangan Catholic University has
many lectures and education stakeholder who are professional, famous,
educated and experienced. They are also from well-known universities in
local and international. I know UNPAR is a private university but I assured
that it is same as UI, UGM, ITB, UNPAD and etc. Parahyangan Catholic
University also has many jobs partner acknowledged in the world; it will help
me to practice my knowledge in several companies. Besides that, my
ambition is to be a judge or lawyer. By learning at UNPAR and getting some

experiences, I want to prove that Indonesian is able to have career in

overseas, so I really hope that I can finish my study and learn law specifically
at Parahyangan Catholic University.
In conclusion, complete facilities in my study and having a job directly
after graduated the university are very important. I also want to improve our
law system at Indonesia and have career in foreign countries. Those are
some reasons why I choose UPH University. Thank you very much.
