you spent a fortune to get. Mechanical Engineering Objectives Book from R.S
Khurmi is best for this purpose. You can also check NPTEL Lectures for
mechanical engineers during this time on YouTube. NPTEL lectures covers all
subjects in detail.
10.Sometimes many qualified Engineers dont land a Job because they are
searching it in wrong place so you should know what the thriving industry of
your city is. For instance if somebody wants to work in Cement Industry they
should Target Hattar.
11.Keep checking the NTS programs whatever the People say Engineers do get
Jobs by pass NTS test with mere 70 % score sometimes even less. I
personally got called from Al-Muiz and SNGPL by passing NTS.
12.Try to improve your English Language in this period. One of the way is to work
for Call Center. Working with Call Center wont only boost your English
Proficiency and Accent but it would also help you to in your IELETS Exam if
you are taking one.
13.Never fixate on one industry keep exploring your options in parallel e.g You
can be applying for German Universities and Job in Pakistan at the same time.

will be needing if you appear for an interview there for instance people
having an interview in HVAC industry should know following:

b. Pressure- enthalpy chart,
c. Essential components of central air-conditioning plant, Water chiller and
water heater, Air handling unit, Chilled water and hot water recirculation
system,

d.
e.
f.
g.

CFM rating and tons of air-conditioning of a central air-conditioning plant.

Cooling load and heating load calculation procedures,
Duct sizing and piping design,
Pumps and fans selection.

15. Spend your free time learning some new skill. I learnt a bit about web designing
during my Job Hunting Phase.
16.If you are an engineer you can give tuitions to matric and FSc students and
earn an appreciable amount of money. A friend is earing 40,000 per month.
17.There are some topics from which questions will be asked no matter which
organization you apply as long as it is a Mechanical Engineering Job. Those
Topics are Engines, Compressors, Turbines, Pumps and Gears. Have a very
good grasp on these topics keep reading about them.
18.When you are called for interview ALWAYS SHOWUP WITH SHAVE , PROPER
HAIRCUT NAILS Trimmed AND IN A SUIT with TIE. I wasnt selected in one
organization because I wasnt wearing a suit and got selected in another
because I was. If you show up properly dressed this will tell the interviewer
that you have a sense of responsibility and regard for Organization and its
rules.
19.Dont shake hands if it is a Panel Interview unless someone holds out a hand
similary dont sit unless you are told. If it is Panel then a Asalamalikum in
clear voice would suffice. If it is one on one interview give a good shake
hand.
20.Sometimes interviewers ask tell us something about yourself. Here After
stating your Name and Qualification do mention why you want to Join there
organization and why they should prefer you over the rest of Candidates.
21.Interviews also ask to tell a weakness. Now you have to tell it in a way that it
sounds good for instance one can say he is a Perfectionist. Then they will ask
you a scenario to prove it make sure you have facts to back your true/false
story.

applying in 8th semester after the midterm.

learning same thing in 3 different software packages learn another software
like Microsoft Project , Oracle because these softwares are actually in use in
Industries/Companies.
