Rules For Submission of Project 2016-17

Dear Students, your project submission and presentation is an


essential part of curriculum for which 15 marks are assured in total. The
rules regarding the submission are as follow.
1. Front page must contain the name of project title, name of student and
supervisor/ Subject incharge along with the logo of MATS Law School
MATS University, Raipur C.G.
2. Certificate of supervision/ subject incharge and acknowledgement must
have to be prepared at the inception of the project topic but next to front
page.
3. Subject to clause 1 and 2 the Index, abbreviations, list of referred cases is
need to prepare thereafter. The page number mention on the pages of
index, abbreviation, list of cases, and annexure must be mention in Roman
like i, ii, iii etc.
4. The whole project must be arranged in proper chapterisation. The name
of chapter must have to be display at head of the page in capital. The
project needs to submit in strict mandate of 20th Edition of Blue Book for
references. Data of your project must not be copied from any sources more
than 20% of your project. At least 80% works must be original one. The
reference must have to be mention at the footer of the page.
5. Each page must bear its page number properly in numbering format like
1, 2, 3 etc. The page numbers need to mention at the footer in middle of the
page.
6. Referred Bibliography, Webliography, journals, Bare Acts, Articles, Law
Commissions Report, memorandums or other material is need to affix
under the title of Annexure at the last of project. However, the total number
of pages must not exceed 40 and must not be less than 20.
7. Guideline about the using of Font for Title -14 , Sub- Title - 13 ,
Running Matter - 12.In Time new Roman having Line spacing 1.5 on A4 size
pages.
8. Guideline about Page set- up: Left 1.5, Right, Top, and Bottom 1.

9. Subject to the provision of clause 13 no submission/ presentation shall


be consider after the laps of due date.
10. Students are advice to submit the project along with online plagiarism
report. For that purpose you can download software from www. viper free
plagiarism check. com or any other software of his choice from net.
11. Students are advice to publish their work online (after submission and
presentation) on SSRN or SCRIBD or any other sites of his choice for which
3 extra marks are assured (not more than the set limit of marks) on the
proof of record.
12. In case of objection as to plagiarism or any contents of project if find
copied or otherwise, the student himself has to owes the responsibility to
justify the case if he fails to submit the project without such report.
13. Notwithstanding anything contained above, a student who failed to
submit the project topic and presentation within due date. He has to obtain
permission from director MATS Law School for his submission and
presentation in writing.
14. Unless contrary is proved, the rules are applicable to those subjects
which are mentioned in clause 16 of the rules for submission of project
2016-17.
15. No student will allow for presentation who fails to submit his e- copy of
project on or before due date. Students are obliged to submit hardcopy of
project with neat binding at the time of presentation of project.
16. Subject to the provision of clause 14 or any other rules preferred by
MATS Law School of MATS University, Raipur, the set rules are only
applicable to the following subjects.
1. Criminal Procedure Code (BA/BBA LL.B 5th and LL.B 3rd Semester)
2. Hindu Law (BA/BB.A LL.B 3rd and LL.B 1st Semester)
3. Law Relating to Limitation (BA LL.B 9th Semester)
4. Specific Relief Act (BA LL.B 7th Semester)
5. Sociology III (BA LL.B 3rd Semester)

17. The rules regarding the presentation of above subjects will be convey to
you accordingly after the submission is over to subject incharge.
