stand here to talk about This House Believe That Ranking Class Should Be
Banned
. According to the motion, were from government team believe that this
motion should be stand.
Well my name is _________ as the 1st speaker from government team,
Ill give you the definition, and some argument about this motion, and
_________ as the 2nd speaker will give you more reason why this motion should
be stand and _______ will conclude our debate today.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Ranking class is a system in school that numbered the students based
their skill and their knowladge. And banned have a same meaning with block
or abolished. And based on the definition, we are from government team
realy agreed with the motion because :
1. Ranking synonimes with label award. Based on the definition we know
that the student will be numbered by their skill or their mark. It mean
that there is a Champion who get a good rank like the 1st rank, 2nd,
3rd and etc. And ofcourse there is a Worst student who get a low
ranking. When they get a good rank, every body will call them
generous/smart student and it can make the students being
arrogant and lost motivation to study because they think that they
were the smart one. And in another side, when they get a bad rank in
their class, no matter they have a good mark, everybody will label their
stupid and it will make the student stressed out and feeling
depressed with that label. And ofcourse they will lost their motivation
because they will think even they study hard, they will not able to get
a good rank. Then, think will think if study is a useless think to do.
2. Stressed out and depression. Like my statemen before, many people
around us also label the student based on their rank. When the
generous student who get a good rank lost their rank, or their rank
being down. Everybody will not respect their anymore .They would
being depressing and again, it will loosing their motivation to study.
And in a another case, when the student who get a bad rank, they also
depressing. Everybody will call them stupid, no body respect them and
extreamly, some parent also think that their children is didnt need to

study anymore. It will make the student being depressing and very
upset. Ive wachted some case on TV, some student who get a bad
rank and being bullying, also do an extream act like finished their life
by killing them self
So, ladies and gentlemen. Class ranking also have a bad impact for
student. Is better for us to banned the class ranking system. And
because of that, i believe this motion should be stand.

But first, id like to rebut, the 1st speaker from government team.

Well ladies and gentlemen.
Ranking class is a system in school that numbered the students based
their skill and their knowladge. the aim of class ranking system is not to
intimidating the student. But giving motivation, grouping the student who
need more attention, found a good student who could be atutor for their
friend and etc. So, because of that class ranking have some benefit such us :
1. Increase motivation of the student. For students with specific learning
style like love a chalange, class ranking could spur the spirit of
learning. Ranking as one of the quantitative data contained in the
report card can indicate the position or sequence og a students
perfomance seen by all student in classroom. But, when they got a bad

ranking, its dont mean they gonna being bullying. The only thing that
we should do is change our mindset if we should see student potention
by seiing their mark not their ranking. And even they got a low mark,
we should support them to study hard. Not judge them!
2. Make a teacher can grouping their student by their abillity. Like make a
study group that contain the generous student and student who need
more attention. It make study being effectively and students would
seeing the cares og their teacher.

So ladies and gentlemen, Class ranking have some benefit and we

didnt need to ban it. I believe that this motion shouldnt stand.

According to the motion i really agreed with the motion. Today, id like
add some argument why we need to ban class ranking. But befor that
id like to rebut what the argument of opposition
team.______________________

Well ladies and gentlemen. My first speaker have said that class
ranking also have a bad impact for student such as labelling and
depressed. Today id like to add some bad impact of class ranking.
1. Ranking is only give based quaantitative data. School also give the
rank by numbered the student by their mark. Didnt see if the
student have a good or bad behafior or some achievement in non
academic. It means that, no matter if the student is a good or a bad
students, if they have a good mark, they have a good rank. It make
the student didnt care with their act because what ever they do it
will not effect their rank or their mark.
2. Ranking can spur cheating. Because ranking is only given based on
the mark, many student do anything to get a good mark. Cheating
is being one of solution for them to get a better rank without
study hard.
3. Ranking can spur bullying. Like my 1st speaker say before, ranking
also give a label for the student based on their rank. Because of
that some student who have a bad ranking also being bullying by
the other student. And some of generous student also being
bullying by the jealosy student.
So ladies and gentlement. After all fact and argument that weve given.
We can conclude that if class ranking is have more harm than good.
And because of that, we should ban the class ranking system. Thank

disagree with the motion because of some statemen. Today, id like
add some argumet to make you believe that we didnt need to ban

Like my 1st speaker said before, class ranking have good effect for
learning. And today ive some argument to make it stronger.
1. Class ranking make school can found a good student to have a
scholarship. Because class ranking numbered the student by their
mark. There is a chance for a good rank student to have a
scholarship. And the lowest ranking would being motivated to reach
a good rank and have a scholarship. Agains, class ranking also
increase the spirit of learning.

should do is :

2. Also study hard
3. Make a mindset if cheating is not good
4. Never give up
