E. 1.
Medical Olympiad
Pre-Eliminary Stage
Pre-Eliminary Stage will be participated by the delegates from
every faculty of medicine in Indonesia and abroad. Each institution can
only send one team for each branch. Pre-Eliminary Stage will be divided
into 2 (two) rounds, which is Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and
Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE).
1. Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
In MCQ, the participants will be given 120 questions in vignette
form. The questions are in Bahasa (Indonesian language) for the
national branch, and are in English for the international branch.
Correct answer will get +2 points; wrong answer will get -1 point. The
material is according to the branch. The execution time is about 60
minutes.

b. Survival Stage
Survival Stage will be attended by the 42 teams that did not pass
the Pre-Eliminary Stage. In Survival Stage, the questions consist of 100
questions of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) in the vignette form. The
execution time is about 50 minutes. 4 (four) teams with the highest score
in the Survival Stage will continue to the Semifinal Stage together with 8
(eight) teams that are pass in the Pre-Eliminary Stage.

Semifinal Stage
Semifinal Stage will be attended by the 12 teams (8 teams with the
highest score in the Pre-Eliminary Stage; 4 teams with the highest score in
the Survival Stage). Semifinal Stage will be divided into 2 (two) rounds,
which is Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and Objective Structured Clinical
Examination (OSCE). But, for Tropical Infection branch, the Semifinal Stage
will be divided into Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and Objective
Structured Practical Identification (OSPI).

The total points of the Semifinal Stage for Tropical Infection branch are the
points derived from MCQ and OSPI.
Five teams with the highest score in the Semifinal Stage for each branch
will continue to the Final Stage.
d. Final Stage
Final Stage will be attended by 5 (five) teams with the highest score
in the Semifinal Stage in each branch. Final Stage will be divided into 2
(two) rounds, which is Student Oral Case Analysis and Public Health (SOCAPH) and Medical Quiz Game.
1. Student Oral Case Analysis and Public Health (SOCA-PH)
In SOCA-PH, the participants will be given a case with six
elements of assessment, which is Definition (Definisi), Problem
Formulation (Rumusan Masalah), Problem Analysis (Analisis Masalah),
Hypothesis (Hipotesis), Synthesis and Conclusion (Sintesis dan
Kesimpulan), and Public Health Management (Manajemen Kesehatan
Masyarakat). 45 minutes were given to do the SOCA-PH. As for the
presentation in front of the judges, only 30 minutes were given. The
material for the case will be provided in the syllabus. The assessment
is based on a checklist of the judges which is adapted to the existing
procedures

The

The team with the highest score in each branch will get the gold medal. The
team with the second highest score in each branch will get the silver medal.
The team with the third highest score in each branch will get the bronze medal.
A gold Medal is worth 5 points, a silver medal is worth 3 points, and a bronze
medal is worth 1. The Institution with the highest accumulated points will be
the General Champion of Indonesian International Medical Olympiad (IMO)
2016.

Talk Show
Talk Show is an additional event in IMO 2016 Faculty of Medicine
UPH.
3. Farewell Party
Farewell Party is the closing event of IMO 2016 Faculty of Medicine
UPH. In Farewell Party, an art performance, announcement of the winner
of IMO 2016, and other entertainment events will be held.

Siloam Hospital (previously Siloam Gleneagles Hospital), a four star Imperial
Aryaduta Hotel and a championship Imperial Golf Club.
Most Lippo companies are headquartered in Lippo Karawaci including AIG Life,
Matahari Department Store and Supermarket, Multipolar Corporation, Lippo Bank,
Kabelvision and Lippo General Insurance.
Time
The Indonesian government only recognizes three time zones in its territory:
Indonesia Western Time - seven hours in advance (UTC+7) of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT),
Indonesia Central Time - eight hours ahead (UTC+8) of GMT, and Indonesia Eastern Time nine hours ahead (UTC+9) of GMT. The boundary between the western and central time
zones established is a line running north between Java and Bali through the center of
Kalimantan. The border between central and eastern time zones runs north from the
eastern tip of Timor to the eastern tip of Sulawesi. Karawaci Standar Time is set at UTC +7.
Languages
The official national language of the Indonesia is Bahasa and English.
Religion
One peculiarity of the Indonesian government's stance on (freedom of) religion is
that it recognizes six official religions only (which are Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism,
Hinduism, Buddhism and Confucianism)

Transportation
Karawaci has a public transportation system called Angkot. Angkot
is a mini-bus that has been modified to carry passengers. There are several
types of Angkot, more frequent used are White, Yellow, or Blue Angkot. The White
Angkot route is Perumnas 1 Binong (Pasar Malabar - JL.Kavling Pemda - JL.Imam Bonjol Islamic - JL.Diponegoro Universitas Pelita Harapan - Super Mall Lippo Karawaci - RS.Siloam
- JL.Binong Raya). The Yellow Angkot route is Legok - Pos Karawaci (Pasar Legok - JL.Raya
Legok Karawaci - JL.Raya Kelapa Dua - Islamik - RS. Qadr - Ruko Pinangsia - Palem Semi JL.Imam Bonjol - RS.Sari Asih Karawaci - Pos Karawaci). The Blue Angkot (with yellow
stripe) Route is Terminal Cibodas - Gading Serpong (Terminal Cibodas - JL.Borobudur Perumahan Harapan Kita - Super Mall Lippo Karawaci - Islamic - JL.Raya Kelapa Dua - Gading
Serpong).
Currency
The official currency released by Bank Indonesia (Central Bank of Indonesia) is
Rupiah (IDR).
Banking Details
Banking hours are usually from 10 am to 5 pm and are open during Monday-Friday.
ATMs are located everywhere and many near commercial centers.
