The GWL is at 3.5m below the GL. The desnsity of soil above GWL is 1.66t/m 2 and the
submerged density of soil below GWL is 0.86 t/m2. Determine the bearing capacity of a
1.5x1.5 m wide isolated footing at 1.5m depth for a permissible settlement of 25mm.
