FROM PRESIDENT JULIANNE

Hello to all my fellow club members. I hope everyone is enjoying the
cooler fall weather and the changing of the leaves. Theyre saying we are
having a early peak color because of the dry hot weather over the
summer. At any rate I'm enjoying colors. As usual in the fall we are super
busy. We had the Big E in Sept. and the club anniversary party coming
soon. Before you know it we will be getting ready for our Thanksgiving
Dinner. On a personal note I want to thank everyone for the vote of
confidence making me your President again. I enjoy
serving everyone and it means so much doing so Thank
you a million times over.

VP SYLVIAS PODIUM
Thank you is first on my list of updates this month. Thank you is for voting to
keep me as the Vice President of V.S.C. Much gratitude for keeping me in my
position. My promise is to do the best I can for all of you through the next two
years of service. Special Bingos been great! Thanks to all who participate by
contributing their $2. This month brings our anniversary/Halloween party, be
sure to come to that activity. We will be pumpkin picking at Jones again this
month too. We always have fun there and the hay ride is always great too.
October ushers in jacket weather so when you want to warm up,
spend some time with a friend, do an activity or just have
something warm to drink come on in and join us. Keep an eye on
the new sign ups as the holidays are coming.

SECRETARY PAULAS THOUGHTS

Time goes by so fast! It seems just weeks ago I was talking about
being excited about spring coming and now look, its fall now. Fall
with its pumpkins, gourds and cider. Before you know it will be
Thanksgiving with Turkey and pumpkin pies. Yummy. I want to
thank everyone for voting for me to stay on as club secretary.
Helping out like I do really helps my self esteem and I have
a great time doing it. The fall will be busy with lots of things
to do so make sure you come in and sign up for club
activities.

SOME REALLY IMPORTANT NEWS !

Starting in January the Valley Social Club newsletter will begin to transition to an
all online publication. As everyone knows money is really tight these days and the
budget for The Valley Social Club is no different. On average the club spends about
$380.00 per month getting the newsletter out to the members. We also have
been told by many members that they really dont read the newsletter and just
look at the calendar. To prepare for this, the Club will hold Enlightened
Lunches to teach club members how to use the computer and internet to view the
newsletter. There will also be a limited number of printed newsletters in the club.
We will also have monthly calendars available to everyone. If for
some reason you are not able to get to access to a computer or
come to the club we would be willing to mail newsletters to you
but you MUST let us know before the January deadline. We regret
having to do this but these kind of things are a part of the new
norm.

WORDS TO LIVE BY. GIVEN TO US BY SYLVIA

People are unreasonable and self centered. Forgive them anyways. If you are
kind people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyways If you are
honest people may cheat you. Be honest anyways. If you find happiness
people may be jealous. Be happy anyways. The good you do today may be
forgotten. Tomorrow. Do good anyways. Give the world the best you have and
it may never be enough. For you see, in the end. It is between you and God. It
was never between you and them anyways. canonization Sainthood

ANOTHER CONTRIBUTION FROM

ROBERT S.
In the hallowed hour of sunset flaming colors streak the sky and
drowsy birdsong lingers. Where the creeping shadows lie. Oh
theres no place under heaven dearer to my hearts desire than a
valley steeped in twilight. Wheres the sky a band of fire.

REMEMBERING CHARLIE P.
On July 31st, Big Charlie P. was remembered by his family and friends
at a local funeral home. We found out afterwards unfortunately that
he had passed. Charlie had been in a nursing home for some time
now, but he was that kind of member everyone would ask about even
staff. His cousin would update us from time to time. Charlie was a
fixture at the front desk here. He really made a people smile with his
stories and greeting skills. Charlie had lots of tattoos as
well. He really loved those things. He would sneak out
and get one every chance he got. We
remember our old friend and hope he is with his twin in
heaven. Rest easy Charlie! We will not forget you!

AN EXCITING NIGHT ON THE RED CARPET.

The stars were out on Monday (Sept. 19th) night for the
annual Valley Social Club/Fellowship Place fashion show.
Club members were dressed in high fashion as they strode
down the cat walk. After the show everyone had a great
dinner and dancing with friends with the sound track for
the night being provided by our own DJ Phyllis. Everyone
had a blast looking their best. We want to thank
Fellowship Place Club House for once again hosting the
event. You guys are the best

wonderful.

HUB S AWAY !
In order to help many of our folks with the mountains of paper work
from all of the various out side the agency's BHcare has come up with
