Snapshot 4
Snapshots backed up on StoreOnce are self-contained, fully independent volumes that can be
restored back to the original or different HPE 3PAR StoreServ system or HC 250 system in the
event of a disaster or physical problems with the production storage environment. Backups can
be copied from one StoreOnce appliance to another for disaster recovery purposes. This level of
data protection cannot be achieved with snapshots alone.
Brochure
RMC for VMware vSphere allows VMware administrators to create hundreds of non-disruptive,
application consistent virtual machine (VM) snapshots and backups and initiate rapid online
recovery directly from within the VMware vCenter Server virtualization management console.
RMC Element Recovery Technology (ERT) allows more granular recovery of an individual VM
or an individual file within a VM, helping improve recovery RTO, and minimizing disruption and
downtime of production VMs.
RMC for SQL and StoreOnce RMC for Oracle allows Microsoft SQL and Oracle database
administrators (DBAs) to create, schedule and manage SQL and Oracle-application consistent
snapshots on a HPE 3PAR array. RMC for SQL Express Protect and RMC for Oracle Express
Protect feature enables automatic backup of SQL and Oracle snapshot data from HPE3PAR to
StoreOnce, independent of backup server software. This provides simple, rapid, and affordable
recovery of SQL and Oracle mission-critical databases as well as highly granular and flexible
Recovery Point Objectives and Recovery Time Objectives.
RMC also enables crash consistent backups and snapshots to be performed on any application
running on 3PAR or HC250.
HPE 3PAR File Persona, integrated with HPE RMC, offers streamlined data protection in large
file storage environments by augmenting traditional backup approaches. It combines the
simplicity of snapshots with the reliability and cost effective retention of backups through a
native integration of HPE 3PAR StoreServ and HPE StoreOnce in a seamless, converged data
protection solution.

Integrate snapshot management and backup with your own business applications
RMC enables application consistent backups of leading business applications. It also provides a
programmable interface via REST API SDK for plug-in scripting purposes. This enables partners
