Descriptionoftheproject:Thisstudyexamineshowcollegestudentschoosetheirmajorsbasedontheir
expectationsofeducationaloutcomes,forexample,futureincome.
Whatwillbedone:Asetofquestionswillbeprovidedtoyou.Thequestionsask1)yourdemographic
informationincludingyourname,emailaddressandDukeuniqueID,2)yourpreferenceofmajors
offeredatDuke,3)whatyourexpectationsofeducationaloutcomesare,and4)howyouranswersare
affectedwhenyourexpectationschange.Answeringthequestionnaireshouldtakelessthan30minutes.
Benefitsofthisstudy:Therewillbenodirectbenefittoyoufortakingpartinthisstudy.Theresearcher
maylearnmoreabouthowindividualsdecisionmakingprocessesareaffectedbytheirexpectationsof
