Cars are used for transportation multiple times during a day. When people rush to office
in the morning they probably do not think about who invented the first car. That person,Franois
Isaac de Rivaz , has had such an impact on so many lives. His optimistic thinking has changed
the way people live everyday. Since Franois Isaac de Rivaz , cars have changed to optimize to
the new technologies in the world. This bending story with many setbacks is very interesting and
inspiring.
In 1807, Franois Isaac de Rivaz , developed and designed the first car. It was powered
by an internal combustion engine that used hydrogen. This type of engine uses high temperature
and abundant amount of pressure to create force. That force will be used for the car to move.
However this car was not really meant for mass production and was not popular for human
transportation. Later in the car production timeline a man named Karl Benz invented the first car
that used petrol or gasoline. This was an invention that set the floor for many more crucial
developments and progressions. Most cars today are powered/run by petrol or gasoline engines.
There have been modifications to the original gasoline engine to benefit the environment.
However the original idea has not changed very significantly. Even with all of these progressions
that make the car more appealing, cars were not popular due to many reasons including price
point.
The first car that became popular was the Ford Model T. The Ford Model T was released
in 1908. The car sales then proceeded to spike up the graph. Henry Ford had sold millions by the
1920s. They stopped manufacturing this massively successful car in 1927. The Ford Model Ts
boisterous engines are perceived by some to be the starting point of the car era that shook the
world. After Ford leapt ahead in the car race they really didnt look back. They were consistently
on top in the most cars sold in the U.S. leaderboard. But since Ford started manufacturing cars
in America many other car brands have put their ideas and innovations on the road. If you peer
down the busy streets of a vastly populated city such as New York City you will see extreme
diversity in the car brands. Toyota,Nissan,Honda have rivaled Ford and they are on display in
abundant amounts on the streets. As the world progressed cars tried to capture specific markets.
In the high end market, brands such as Ferrari,Bugatti, and Maserati have left people mesmerized
as they glance as the cars sheer beauty and complexion. The latest turning point in the car
timeline are the electric cars. They are eco-friendly which is a big area in the market currently
and require no gas which makes maintenance cheaper. All in all, cars have progressed extremely
from the hydrogen powered engines to the eco-friendly engines that inspire us today!
People always say that their is no way to measure how technology has grown. I strongly
disagree, cars have kept on par with technology growth. Imagine not going to work without your
car. Questions will fill your mind about alternate transportations. Cars give you the convenience
and independence you require and desire. Cars are a method of presenting your personality to
others.So admit it, people cant live without cars which makes cars almost essential or essential.
