COMPANY BACKGROUND

Ethio-Hygienic Industries PLC ( Hygienic Industries) was established

on May 2005 with a capital investment of 3000000 ETB. Currently, we
are the Major supplier & Manufacturer of prescription eye glasses to
optical retail shops & special eye clinics, the number of branches has
also increase to 6, including a new specialized eye clinic which is
equipped with state of the art medical devices, located at Sarbet, St.
BesratGebrieal Area. Its production site is located at Kality Industrial
zone.
Ethio hygienic is a company that is engaged in manufacturing,
wholesale & retail of various medical, cosmetic and ophthalmic
products. The diverse interests of the business are complementary and
serve to strengthen the project potential via multiple marketing access
points, existing logistical set-up, internal access to markets (incl.
internal market ), Knowledge and experience within the industry and
control of the businesss supply chain. It can be said that this is a
vertical expansion in the supply chain of the existing businesses, in
addition to other businesses supply chains.
The shareholders of the company have been in business for more than
8 years operating in several sectors. Like sunglasses and eyeglasses
retailer. Within these eight Years, one of the shareholders has built up to
7 retail shops all operating in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Currently, the
shareholders are in the position to expand their business not only to
include the retail sale of sunglasses,eyeglasses and manufacture of
optical lenses but also importing& distributing of humane medicine &
medical equipment.Ethio-Hygienic Industries PLC will supply products
and services to the ophthalmic market both domestically as well as to
neighboring (regional) countries.

1. Eye sight testing & Eye Examination: sight testing is provided
by our optometrists who are assisted by our computerized
equipment.
2. Eye Examination: This medical service is provided by (DR)/
ophthalmologist that are ready to give eye examination if there
is any further treatment required.

Scope and Objective:

Ethio-Hygienic would like to expand marketing activities to the regional
market (defined as the neighboring countries such as Sudan, Somalia,
Djibouti, Middle East and Kenya), especially to the growing and untapped
market of Sudan. And it would also want increase service that is going to be
given to a patient.
