Occupational Therapist Advisor Billy Bob Barker Arkansas Childrens Hospital 1 Childrens Way Little Rock, AR 72202 Dear Mr. Billy Bob Barker, I am writing in concern of the internship possibility I have in the Occupational Therapy department at Arkansas Childrens Hospital. I am very honored and excited about being considered for this internship. I would fit this position because I am hardworking, determined, qualified, and I love to work with children. I graduate with my undergraduate in Nutrition from UCA this May, and I am continuing my UCA education at the UCA Occupational doctoral program this August. It has always been a dream of mine to have the opportunity to work at this amazing, life giving facility, and I am thankful for your time. I am fully aware that Arkansas Childrens Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center, and also among the largest in the United States, which serves children from birth to age 21. I have wanted to be apart of this working staff ever since I was rushed to Childrens hospital my sophomore year in High School thinking I had ovarian cancer, and the nurses treated me well, kept my spirits high, and I left with the gift of God of the scare of cancer just being a scare. I will always be an employee who gives my 150% effort on every patient. I found this open internship for the Occupational Department here on the job board at UCA, and instantly knew it was where I needed to be going next in life. This summer internship would be perfect for me before heading to the Doctoral program in August. On the job form, it stated you needed someone prepared and ready to assist your Occupational Therapist, Amy Susan, with anything she needed, and I would do that and put in everything I had to do my best for this facility. I will never give up on any task, no matter how difficult it might be, and I am ready for impact. I have obtained a 3.925 GPA during my undergraduate term of study at UCA, so I take pride in my studies and learning something new everyday. Please see my resume I have enclosed for more information on my job experience, skills, and qualifications. This internship would not only help me get ahead of my OT field of study in August, but I would love to be apart of such a great facility and new experiences. Thank you so much for your time and consideration and I look forward to our interview. I am in the Little Rock area often, so I am very flexible. It is a pleasure to have this opportunity. Sincerely, Jillian Collier
