Application of the Great Man Theory:

Google results in term of applying the Great Man theory is paying off. Google
has been giving its workers extra time to step up and create new things or
solve problems as they occur according the 70/20/10 rule. As a result we
can note how fast and great google services have been growing and
expending each year. For example, recently google has decided to get a
portion of the automobile market by entering the automobile market. They
introduce the first Google phone pixel and start selling it to the market.
This smart move by Google happened because the company leadership use a
concept of the Great Man theory which says that great leadership will show
up when you have something to be done. In addition, to see how well this
company is doing by applying the Great Man theory. In 1998, Page and Brin
the founders of Google did not complete their PhD and instead they decided
to create their own company that was located in a garage. They did not have
special courses in how to become leaders, or how to manage their work.
However, they started the company from nothing and continue building it
until it is estimated now to be worth more than $498 billion. This makes it
one of the most variable companies in the whole world according to
money.cnn.com. This explains and supports a concept of the Great Man
theory which states that Great leaders are born not made.

Why/how the Great Man theory is important:

We cannot say that Google is only using the Great man theory in a daily
basis; nevertheless, this theory is really important and relevant to this
company because it creates creativity, opens ways to invest, and grow the
company. For instant, if Google decided to stop giving its employees, and
employers, free time to create new things the company will suffer big losses
in the market because its leaders do not have enough time to do what they
are supposed to do. As its competitors will take advantage of that and try to
satisfy the market needs. Investors will also stop investing in this company
and will look for other options. This explains why Google has been using this
theory and how it is relevant to the company in their workplace.
