Personal pronouns
O nome pode desempenhar a funo de sujeito ou de complemento numa frase.
Ex: The woman helps the boy.

The woman o sujeito da frase, quem pratica a ao.

The boy o complemento direto, a pessoa sobre quem recai a ao realizada pelo
sujeito.

O pronome pessoal usado em vez do nome. Como tal, tambm o pronome pessoal pode
desmpenhar a funo de sujeito ou de complemento numa frase.
Ex: She helps him.

O pronome she est a ser usado em vez do nome woman, comcordando com ele em
gnero (feminino) e nmero (singular).

O pronome him est a substituir o nome boy, concordando igulamente em gnero


(masculino) e nmero (singular).
