Academy
Training & Match Requirements:
All players are required to attend:
o Sunday Trial Matches 10am 4pm

o Sunday Training Sessions @ Bundoora Cricket Club

Yulong Park - Cnr Plenty Rd & Bent St Bundoora
(See training schedule for specific times)
o The Victorian Metropolitan Cricket Union (VMCU) carnival runs
for two weeks in January (9th 22nd January 2017)
Failure to attend without notification and poor behaviour during
training/ matches will not be tolerated and may result in removal
from all future sessions

All outdoor training sessions will be held at Bundoora Cricket Club
Yulong Park - Cnr Plenty Rd & Bent St Bundoora
Venues for all Trial Matches are to yet to be finalised, updated
communication will be placed on the DVCA website and
Representative Cricket facebook page.

Representative Academy Standards:

Purpose

As a perspective player I understand that I must train and apply myself to

all tasks with purpose. I will not just go through the motions I will
commit myself to each and every task before me giving it my absolute
best effort.
Honour
As a perspective player I understand the honour and responsibility that
comes with representing the Diamond Valley Cricket Association.
Teamwork
I understand that by participating in the academy, I will not just be
representing myself, I am a representative of my team mates and the
DVCA. As part of this I understand that my actions dont just affect

myself, but all those I represent. I will demonstrate teamwork by

respecting and working positively with all those around me and be proud
to play my role.
Courage
I understand that I may be tested and put in difficult situations throughout
the academy. I need to show restraint in situations I find difficult,
managing my emotions and helping others manage their behaviour. I
understand it takes courage to do this. I will not sledge or abuse any
official, opponent or umpire, even I times of anger or frustration. I possess
the courage to be better than that.
Humility

I understand that I may experience success, both team and personal

success. I realise that it is important to be humble in times of success,
maintaining respect at all times of the opposition. I will never put down
or denigrate my opponents or team mates, because I understand that it
only reflects poorly on me.
Honesty
I understand that at all times I need to be honest and up-front with my
team mates, umpires and coaches.
Respect

I understand that if I can live these standards, then I will gain a level of
respect that enhances me as a person, enhances the DVCA and the team I
represent.
