Gardening Club Mission and Bylaws

ARTICLE I: NAME & PURPOSE

Section A: Name The name of this club shall be the Gardening Club.
Section B: Purpose The purpose of this club shall be:
1.

To have people work together to revamp our garden behind the

science building.
2.

To act as a place for everyone--faculty, students, parents, etc.-- to

gather and interact.

3.

To educate people on horticulture and nutrition; as well as encourage

positive actions towards saving the environment.

ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP & DUES
Section A: Eligibility - Gardening club will be open to anyone in the Stevenson
community, staff and students. Anyone who is interested is welcome to join.
No experience requirements.
ARTICLE III: OFFICERS
Section A: Officers- Jieun Song, Tristan Bulatao, Tim Joung
ARTICLE IV: DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Section A: president & vice president
1.

Schedule meeting times and places.

2.

Organize events such as weekend-gardening events.

3.

Discuss with the faculty sponsor about ideas for the club.

4.

Provide material and resources for the members.

ARTICLE V: MEETINGS
Section A: Meetings- Meetings will be held during activity periods and atleast
two weekend meetings a month.
ARTICLE VI: ADVISOR
Section A: Duties
1. Maintain an awareness of the activities and programs sponsored by the
student club.

2. Meet on a regular basis with the leader of the student club to discuss
upcoming meetings, long range plans, goals, and problems of the club.
3. Attend meetings as often as schedule allows.
4. Be present at events organized by the club if schedule allows.
