Japanese Culture Club Constitution and Bylaws

ARTICLE I: NAME & PURPOSE


Section A: Name- The name of this club will be Japanese Culture Club.
Section B: Purpose- The purpose of this club will be to:
1.To share the entertaining, and amazing Japanese culture to the whole
school, mainly through cooking traditional Japanese meals, trying snacks,
e.t.c.
2.To promote communication
members(and outside relations)

among

students

along

with

faculty

3.To expose Stevenson students to Japanse culture through fun and


educational activities.
(We are trying to go off campus to a Japanese tea ceremony event or a
Japanese temple)
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP & DUES
Section A: Eligibility- Membership will be open to anyone within our
Stevenson student body without regard to sex, race, religion, or nationality.
Section B: Active Membership- We will confirm ACTIVE membership
during our weekly or biweekly meetings.
ARTICLE III: OFFICERS
Section A: Officers: -The officers will be Minami Nakamura and Miyu
Yamane
Section B: Eligibility Officers must be active students in the club who
contributes their time and effort and join meetings when noticed. Officers will
also be the ones to organize the events.
Section C: Term Officers will serve for one year and that their term of
office will begin at the start of the year when signing up for clubs
ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY
Section A Responsibility: Each officer is responsible for their own duties
being performed during each meeting and is also responsible to make sure
his duties are carried out by another member in his/her absence.

Section B: President Duty- These will be the duty of the President:


- Preside and establish meetings on a weekly or monthly basis
- Welcome new members into the club
- Explain to new members the purpose and operation of this club
- To ensure we have the authority to follow and execute our ideas
and plans
- Having good understanding of the clubs constitution and policies
ARTICLE V: MEETINGS
Section A: Meetings- Regular meetings shall be held weekly/bi-weekly on
the weekends.
Section B: Meetings- Meetings should be announced five days prior to the
actual date of meeting so that all members will be unequivocally noticed and
will have the time to organize his/her time accordingly
ARTICLE VII: FACULTY ADVISOR
Section A: Duties-These are duties of our faculty advisor for this club
-Assist the club to reach the clubs objectives and goals, especially in
program planning and development
-Make sure that plans for club activities in question conform to the general
policy of Stevenson
ARTICLE VIII: AMENDMENTS
Section A: Notice All members shall receive advance notice of the
proposed amendment at least a week before the meeting.
