K-Pop/Hip Hop Dance Club Constitution and Bylaws

ARTICLE I: NAME & PURPOSE

Section A: Name - The name of this club will be Hip Hop Dance Club, the former K-Pop
Club
Section B: Purpose - The purpose of this club will be:
1. Gather all students who are interested in K-pop dancing, hip hop dancing,
or pop music in general.
2. Encourage hip hop and music lovers to break boundaries and express
themselves.
3. Give dance passionates an opportunity to express themselves besides of
dance classes and dance competitions.
4. Perform in front of the school during assemblies, pep rallies, and other
major school events.
5. Perform outside of school events in forms of community service or
community events.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP
Section A: Eligibility
Membership shall be open to anyone within the student body at Stevenson.
Section B: Active Membership
Club leaders will ratify active membership monthly during planning meeting.
ARTICLE III: OFFICERS
Section A: Officers
Head leaders: Olivia Fan, Daisy Liu
Dance Directors & Leaders: Jordan Liu, Chiaro Xia, Julia Zhu, Anya Doan
Section B: Eligibility Officers must be students and ACTIVE members of the club.
Section C: Election/Term The officers shall remain as the same people unless a
problem is presented by another active member.
ARTICLE IV: DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Section A: Head it shall be the duty of the Heads to:
Preside at meetings
Represent the club in any official capacity
Coordinate all communication with school entities
Assign lessons to teach and provide material/resources for it to the
dance directors
Section B: Dance Director/Leaders it shall be the duty of the leaders to:
Assist the heads during meetings and practices
Organize weekly practices
Each lessons during weekly practices
ARTICLE V: MEETINGS
Section A: Meetings Regular meetings shall be held biweekly at 9am during the
regular school year, unless otherwise notified (i.e. special schedules during finals and
school breaks)

Section B: Special Meeting Special meetings may be called by the Head with the
approval of the rest of the club members.
ARTICLE VI: EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Section A: Responsibility Management of this club shall be vested in an Executive
Committee responsible to the entire membership to uphold these bylaws.
Section B: Membership This committee shall consist of the officers as listed in Article
III and the faculty advisors.
Section C: Meetings This committee shall meet at least once monthly to organize
and plan future activities.
