Subject : Offer for Supply & Airless Spray of Intumescent Fire Proofing Paint for Structural Steels.
Project : Typhoon Facilities at Adam Airbase.
Your Ref.: Meeting at your office, dated: 01-02-2015.
Dear Sir,
We thank you for your valued enquiry as referred above for the subject works. As desired, we are pleased to
submit our offer for supply and application of intumescent paint as per required specifications for this project. Our
offer is detailed as under:FIRE SCENARIO :Type of Fire: Cellulosic fires.
Critical Temperature: 6000C for columns and 6200C for beams.
Standard: BS476 parts 20-22.
Fire Exposure: Four sided for all steel structures.
JOB/MATERIAL SPECIFICATION :1. AkzoNobel Interchar 1190 for 2hrs fire rating and Interchar 1260 for 1 hr fire rating.
2. AkzoNobel Interthane 990SG as top coat [50 microns DFT].
3. Check and prepare the existing surface as per manufacturers recommendations.
4. Supply and apply the fireproofing materials onto the steel structures as per the design thickness to achieve
the desired fire ratings.
OUR SCOPE OF WORK :1. To carryout the job as per above specification.
2. To supply the required fireproof paint as well as the top coat at site.
3. To provide all the equipments, trained technicians, supervisors, etc. required to carryout the job as per the
above specifications.
4. To follow all the necessary QA/QC and safety procedures at site and shall comply with the standard
application procedures.
CLIENT OBLIGATIONS :1. The priming and intermediate coating of the steel members are not considered in our scope of works.
2. Compatibility of primer/intermediate coat to be confirmed by AkzoNobel.
3. Provision of potable water in proper storage tanks, 3-phase electricity, material storage, material and
equipment handling facility free of cost at site.
4. Provision of site access, gate passes, permission to work at night shift if required, etc. to our personnel.
5. Provision of dust free solid ground level, disposal of waste, masking if required, etc.

6. Provision of all the necessary erected scaffolding with proper operating platform (if require), lifting facility to
shift machines, compressor and materials till the roof top.
7. Provision of proper supports for the structure members for carrying out the fireproofing paint works.
8. Provision of site office space with all preliminary and car-parking facilities.
9. Flute filling, if required, is not in our scope.
10. Erected and safe scaffolding shall be provided by Bilad Oman LLC at free of cost.
11. Any tax and duties shall be paid by Bilad Oman LLC, no deduction from Swiss Intl.
12. Cost of any touch ups of paint damaged by other trade activity shall be in Bilad Oman LLCs scope.
13. Any approvals required from the local authorities to be arranged by Bilad Oman LLC at free of cost.
14. Any Third party Inspection to be arranged and provided by the main contractor at free of cost.
PRICE :Our Unit Rates to carry out fireproofing as per above specification shall be as per Annexure I for 60 minutes
and Annexure II 120 minutes attached herewith.
Price Considerations:
1. The unit prices are based on the assumption of continuous hindrance free work front and also under the
assumption of doing the job before the steel erection.
2. The sections are taken from the drawings provided by you and if there is any change in steel sections,
separate unit price shall be applicable.
3. Fireproofing of purlins is not considered in our scope of works.
PRICE VARIATION:If there is any idling of our manpower / machinery due to non availability of work front after mobilisation than idling
charges shall be applicable at mutually agreed rates.
TERMS OF PAYMENT :To be discussed and mutually agreed upon.
VALIDITY :Our offer is valid for 4 weeks from the date hereof.
COMMENCEMENT:Commencement schedule of our scope of works shall be mutually discussed and agreed upon.
JOB/CONTRACT ACCEPTANCE :It is mandatory to receive our official job acceptance for any contractual obligations.

FORCE MAJEURE CLAUSE :Standard Force Majeure Clause prevailing in Oman governs our offer.
INSURANCE :Our Employees are covered under Oman Workmen compensation policy however our quotation for the subject job
is based under the presumption that you have already effected the necessary / exclusive Insurance coverage to
the Machines / Equipment / Structures, etc., for the damage that might occur during the course of our job
execution.
