ARISE Philippines in partnership with the Philippine Department of

Health launched the Basic Life Support Program for DRR. The
certified program aims to provide first aid training to SM Prime
frontliners (nursers, security guards, etc.). Equipping SM Prime
employees with Basic Life Support training strengthens its commitment
to disaster risk reduction. At times of disasters, SM Prime will call on its
frontliners to lead to save lives. The first batch consists of 70 SM
frontliners from different regions.
The next batch of training conducted with the Department of Health
will be a training of trainers which will then certify SM Prime as a
training facility for Basic Life Support.
ARISE Philippines will roll out the BLS program in different malls to
target 300 basic life support certified employees by the end of the year
and more for the years to come.
