ONLINE CASA/IA BALANCE TRANSFER CAMPAIGN

Terms and Conditions


1.

The ONLINE CASA/IA Balance Transfer Campaign (Campaign) shall commence from 18th July
2016 to 17th October 2016 (both dates inclusive) unless notified otherwise (Campaign Period).

2.

The Terms and Conditions shall govern the Campaign the purpose of these Terms and Conditions,
Malayan Banking Berhad and Maybank Islamic Berhad are collectively referred to as the Bank.

3.

The Campaign is open to eligible new and existing Investment Account (IA) holders (who may
consist of individuals, joint account holders, sole proprietorships, partnerships and professionals)
(Eligible Participants) of the following Investment accounts:FUND TYPE

Golden Savvy Account-i
net Account-i
Private Banking Account-i
Premier Mudharabah Account-i

4.

For joint accounts, the Eligible Participant will be the primary account holder.

5.

The above participating products are not covered by Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia
(PIDM) and principal is not guaranteed.

6.

Upon opening of Daily Fund-i, the following documents need to be executed:


Suitability Assessment (SA) Form;
General Terms and Conditions for Mudarabah Investment Account; and
Product Disclosure Sheet.

7.

Employees of the Bank are eligible to participate except for employees who are directly involved
in the Campaign.

8.

To qualify for the Campaign, Eligible Participant will need to perform online Interbank GIRO (IBG)
from other banks a minimum cumulative of RM5,000 into the participating accounts.

9.

IBG fund is determined by transaction codes. The interbank transaction codes that qualify for the

Prize Category and Reward


Every month there are two (2) categories of prizes i.e. consolation prize which is sub divided into
two (2) categories and grand prize winners. Winners will be randomly selected by the Bank at its
sole and absolute discretion.

The overall campaign is divided into three (3) campaign months. The table below stipulates the
dates for the respective campaign months, baseline and ADB.

Entries
a) To qualify for the random selection of winners, Eligible Participants will need to earn entries
based on criteria as explained in the below table:

Criteria
By the end of every campaign month, there must
be an increase of account balance.
The Average Daily Balance (ADB) must be higher
than previous month ends balance.
To qualify for grand prize, Eligible Participants
need to have a minimum RM50,000 cumulative
inward IBG within campaign month and ADB of
more than RM50,000.

b) The entries will be automatically tracked by the Banks system. No campaign entry forms or
registration is required.
c) Winners will be randomly selected after every campaign month.

Winner selection will be done in three (3) rounds, based on entries earned during the stipulated as

There will be a total of 189 winners, i.e. 180 consolation prize winners and 9 grand prize winners
throughout the Campaign, whereby every campaign month, there will be 60 consolation and 3
grand prize winners. The total cash prizes to be won throughout the Campaign is RM81,000.

Other Conditions
a. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Laws of Malaysia and subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
b. An Eligible Participant who closes his/her account(s) before the selection of winner is
completed and announced shall not be entitled to receive any prizes under the Campaign.

c. For the July 2016 prize draw, Eligible Participants may participate in WIN YOUR DREAM
HOLIDAY WITH MAYBANK! campaign and this Campaign. However, Eligible Participants is
only entitled to win prize for one of the campaigns only.
d. Only active participating accounts shall be eligible. Dormant accounts shall not be
considered.
e. The Banks decision on all matters relating to the Campaign shall be final, conclusive and
binding. No further correspondence, appeals, protests or attempts to dispute the same would
be entertained in any event.
f.

Winners may be required to attend prize presentation ceremony and other public
programmes as and when required.

g. All winners names will be published in the Maybank2u website and/or any other method of
communication that the Bank shall choose.

17.

General
a.

The Bank shall not be responsible or held liable in any manner whatsoever in respect of
technical failures of any kind whatsoever, intervention, interruptions and/or electronic or
human error in the administration and/or processing of the transaction performed via the
website and/or the determination of the participants eligibility for the Prize.

b.

The Bank reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, suspend, extend or terminate this Campaign
either in whole or in part and reserves the right to modify any of the terms and conditions
contained herein, from time to time by giving at least minimum of twenty one (21) days prior
notice thereof, the notice of which shall be posted through Maybank2u website at
www.maybank2u.com or through any other channel or channels that The Bank may deem as
appropriate.

c.

By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Participants agree to access to the Bank website
at www.maybank2u.com.my on a regular basis to view the terms and conditions herein and
to ensure that they are kept-up-to-date with any changes or variations made to the terms
and conditions herein.

d.

For the avoidance of doubt, the alteration, shortening, cancellation, suspension or


termination by the Bank shall not entitle the Eligible Participants or any other persons
whatsoever to any claim or compensation against the Bank for any losses or damages suffered
or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of alteration, shortening, cancellation,
suspension or termination.

e.

By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Participants agree to be bound by the Terms and
Conditions herein set forth including any amendment thereto.

f.

In no event shall the Bank nor any of its officers, servants, employees, representatives and/or
agents (including without limitation, any third party service providers engaged by the Bank
for purposes of this Campaign) be liable to Eligible Participant in this Campaign for any

direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to, loss
of income, profits or goodwill) arising from or in connection with this Campaign.
g.

The Bank shall not be responsible and / or liable nor shall it accept any form of liability in
whatsoever nature and howsoever arising or suffered by Eligible Participants resulting
directly or indirectly from the participation in this Campaign or otherwise. Furthermore, the
Bank shall not be liable for any default of its obligation under this Campaign due to any force
majeure event which include but not limited to act of God, war, riot, lockout, industrial
action, fire, flood, drought, storm or any event beyond the reasonable control of the Bank.

h.

The Bank may at its discretion disqualify/reject any Eligible Participant who does not comply
with the terms and conditions stated herein and/or found or suspected of tampering with
the Campaign and/or its process or the operation of this Campaign. Tampering shall include
fraudulent activities involving any act of deceit and/or deception and/or cheating with
regards to the Campaign.

i.

This Terms & Conditions shall be supplemental to the existing Terms and Conditions
Governing Mudarabah Investment Account(s) For Islamic Banking. This Terms and Conditions
shall prevail over any provisions or representatives contained in any promotional materials
(including without limitation printed posters or leaflets) advertising this Campaign.

j.

By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Participants agree and consent to their personal
data being collected, processed and used by the Bank in accordance with the Banks Privacy
Notice, which may be viewed on the Banks website at www.maybank.com.my (Maybanks
Privacy Notice).

k.

Eligible Participants also agree and consent to such details including without limitation
personal data or information being processed and used by the Bank for:
i)

the purposes of the Campaign;

ii) marketing and promotional activities conducted in such manner as the Bank deems
fit in any media including but not limited to any form of advertising or publicity
media and materials such as audio and/or visual recordings published through
newspapers, television networks, radio stations or online and digital media and on
the Internet, without further express consent from the Eligible Participants.
Marketing and promotion activities include without limitation the use and/or
publication of any details provided in and/or in connection to the entries, interviews
material as well responses and related photographs. In this regard, each Eligible
Participant agrees to co-operate and participate without further express consent
and/or payment or consideration, in all reasonable advertising and publicity
activities of the Bank in relation to the Campaign; and
iii) other promotional, marketing and publicity notification/information including future
promotional, marketing and publicity notification/information from the Bank from
time to time.
