Graphic Organizer Activity

In this activity, you will be required to complete and create a concept map graphic organizer for the YouTube
video: Women in the 19th Century: Crash Course US History #16.
Goal:

Provide a historical context to womens rights movements of the 19th century


Identify the changes women and their supporters have accomplished within American societal views,
attitudes, roles, and politics/ policy.
Understand the relationship and connection of various events, leaders, and attitudes of the 19th century to
the goals of womens rights activist and advocates had with transforming the role women played in
America.

necessary elements to be successful in this activity.
Also, look over the example of a completed concept map organizer to see what the finished product
should resemble.

Requirements

You are required to use the website, http://popplet.com/ to further elaborate on the concept map.
You will be provided with a skeleton structure (these are the black popplet bubbles) for your concept
map, and will add more popplets (bubbles) containing information, content, and images.
Added popplets can be fragmented sentences, but must be concise and informing in content. Added
popplets must be changed to a different color, not black!
There is a requirement of four (4) images and sixteen (16) text/written popplets for this particular
concept map.
Each category must have at least 4 text/written popplets; however, you can and/or may need to add
more than 4 popplets to each of the categories. Please keep in mind to be concise and informative in
your popplets, as well as linking ideas together, and to the main topic of the concept map. The image
popplets can be used in any of the categories and should add to the category it is related to.
Once your concept map is completed on popplet.com you must save and download as a jpeg file and
send saved image to teacher email, then print your completed map.
