Crimson Skyblades
Hiding amongst the clouds or within the crevasses of
Cloud-stones, a band of ruthless sky pirates wait for
unsuspecting travelers to cross their path. They are
not ordinary pirates but rather a collection of the
most fearsome females to take to the skies. The
Crimson Skyblades. They decimate entire crews and
steal their vessels within moments of boarding. These
ladies of the sky hold no loyalty to any faction and
bow to no man. Even among the pirate community,
they are feared and respected; remaining
unchallenged. It is not uncommon for the Skyblades
to take on a mercenary or assassin's role. However,
they will only take a job if the employer is female.
When the Skyblades are not terrorizing the
airways, they take refuge in abandon temples. These
temples are carved into the sides of lofty mountains,
with rare ones found atop large cloud-stones. They
are heavenly fortified an contain passage ways riddled
with deadly traps. Any frontal attack or raid is almost
impossible.
The Crimson Skyblades have an extreme hatred
toward men and show them no mercy. They will keep
a male alive if there is something he can offer them.
Once his worth is gone, he dies. The women they
recruit come from all walks of life as well as from
vessels they have raided. No woman is ever forced or
manipulated to join them nor will any perish
intentionally by their hands. They prefer young
women from troubled homes or abusive situations.
They guide them and teach them their beliefs. The
end result is a ruthless, sword wielding, man slaying
femme fatal.

Crimson Skyblade's Airships

The Skyblade's have three major airships that haunt
theskies. Their flagship, Serrah's Vengence, is an
Empress class named in honor of Luna's mother.
Matron's Fury, another Empress class, and the smaller
Windshifter class, Sirens Song, have also cast their
shadows over many an airship. The fleet has grown
with more and more vessels, and women, taking to
the sky.

History
The Skyblade's matron, Luna Vayle, was a young girl
of no more than 14 years of age when her mother,
Serrah, was forcibly married to a ruthless sky pirate
named Reshrim Kron. He was a psychotic warlord
who earned his living attacking towns, villages and
other airships. He and his crew stole their goods, gold
and women which Reshrim coveted as much if not
more than gold. He would kill the ones he did not
keep for his personal collection by throwing them
overboard when his airship reached maximum
altitude. This occurred only after his crew had their
way with them. Luna witnessed their cruelty towards
these helpless victims. As she grew, so did her rage.
Luna wanted nothing more than to kill Reshrim. At
night, she planned take a dagger to his throat as he
slept. Serrah begged her not to; fearing that her
daughter would be killed and she would be left alone
with this evil man. Serrah was pregnant and she knew
she would need Lunas help. Reluctantly, Luna agreed
to wait for the right moment.
When Serrah did not birth a son, Reshrim was
infuriated and, in his rage, killed Serrah and the girl
child before turning his attention to Luna. She would
now birth him a son or suffer the same fate. The
evening of her mother and baby sisters murders,
Reshrim came to her expecting a submissive young
woman. Instead, he was met with a dagger plunged
deep in his gut. She repeated the attack over and over
until she was convinced he was dead. This was her
chance to escape with the surviving captives. She
went to the crew quarters while the men were asleep
and tied a rope around the door handles; trapping
them inside. She then freed the women and together
they made their way to the quartermaster at the helm.
Luna, along with the backing of nine furious women,
forced him to bring the ship down. When all the
women were off with treasure in hand, Luna slit the
quartermasters throat and set the ship ablaze. She
stood watching the ship burn; listening to the men
scream in agony and fear. She closed her eyes to take
in the sounds of the suffering of men and vowed
silently to never fall under mans rule. For the first
time since their abduction, she felt serenity.
Some of the women chose to stay together in
their freedom as they did in captivity. They had a
bond forged by their suffering. Though Reshrim and
his crew were dead, they still felt the need for

vengeance. Their hatred of men, born from necessity,

became an unalterable belief. Luna and the women
purchased an airship and crew with the treasure and
went in search of a place to live without mens rule.
They began their new lives as pirates using a
ruse of an airship in distress. When another ship
would hook up to theirs to offer eager assistance to
women, their faade of helplessness shifted to
nightmarish rage. The unsuspecting men who came
to their aid were slaughtered. They would take their
goods and sometimes their ship. Their name and
reputation quickly spread. Those who opposed them
found that these angles of death were a force to be
reckoned with. As the Crimson Skyblades, they soon
became the most infamous pirates to take to the skies.

Expertise
Crimson Skyblade (Tempest)
Crimson Skyblade's Tempests arent just your
standard pirates. They are fast and relentless women
who are always on the front line. They are skilled in
ship-to-ship combat and infiltration; allowing them to
quickly seize another airship. Though the Skyblades
prefer to stick together, a Tempest may take on
individual jobs deemed necessary for their goals. This
always includes the search for more recruits. Having a
Tempest in an adventuring party may be the best and
worst thing. Men should tread carefully.

Description: Catterie was the daughter of a powerful
noble in the city of Hound's Reach. He felt title and
fortune were more important than family. Her father
was repulsed by his daughter's gift of magic and made
a deal when she was only nine years old to trade her
to a mystic who promised riches, land and greater
title. Terrified, she begged her father not to let her go
with him. He snapped at her with obscenities and
denounced her as his daughter.

The mystic was a cruel and evil drunkard. She

was forced to do strenuous labor and was beaten if he
was not happy with her service. There was one
benefit she had with being there. When he passed out
from drinking, she would study his tomes. She found
great interest in healing spells and soon learned how
to manipulate the realms of magic. Once, during her
studies, she came across a scroll with a sleep spell.
She waited until the mystic's resistances were dulled
by alcohol to use it. Surprised by the ease of her
success, she fled to the closest oasis town and stowed
away on the only airship docked there. She hoped it
would lead her to civilization. Unfortunately, the
vessel belonged to Reshrim Kron. She was soon
discovered and brought into his service. Realizing her
abilities as a healer, he forced her to heal the girls he
assaulted. It disgusted him to be with a woman who
looked sick and injured. When Luna killed Kron,
Catterie joined the mutiny eagerly. Her abilities as a
healer and warrior make her a valued asset among the
Skyblades. She has become both second in command
and Lunas closest friend.
