People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate
knowledge of computerised colour measurement system
operation; enter and maintain dyestuff calibration data; set up
shade standards in the system database; and carry out system
support activities.

2.1

Validity of calibration dyeings is confirmed before entry.

Range

workplace, calibration dyeings carried out according to dye
manufacturers recommendations, calibration dyeings carried out
using methods typical of the workplace.

Calibration dyeing reflectance values are entered into system according to the
system operating procedure.

Calibration group accuracy is verified according to the system operating

procedure.

Set up shade standards in the system database.

Standard shade samples are measured according to workplace procedures and

the system operating procedure.

Standard sample reflectance values and tolerances are input to system

according to workplace procedures and the system operating procedure.
