To deploy the SBA, you must execute the following steps in order:

Step 1 - Prepare the SBA

Step 2 - Start Replication

Step 3 - Activate the SBA

In the event an issue arises while executing any of the steps, you can troubleshoot and resolve the
issue and redo the step.

Step 1 - Configuring the ASM IP Settings

Step 2 - Joining the ASM to a Domain

Step 4 - Generate and Import an SBA Certificate

Step 5 - Starting the SBA Services

Step 6 - Applying an SBA Security Template

Step 1 - Prepare the SBA

This step prepares the SBA by installing all components of the local Survivable Branch packages
onto the ASM.
1. Click Prepare SBA

2. A series of status messages will be dispatched when executing this step:

1. Installs SQL Server:

3. Installs the Lync Front End (FE) Server:

Step 2 - Start Replication

This step starts the configuration replication from the Lync Topology
1. Click Start Replication with Lync Server

2. A series of status messages will be dispatched when executing this step:

1. The Lync topology configuration is exported and imported into the SBA:

Step 3 - Activate the SBA

This step activates the SBA software with the Lync Server (enables its role as an SBA with the
Lync Server)
1. Click the Activate SBA with Lync Server

2. A series of status messages will be dispatched when executing this step:

1. The Lync SBA is activated with the Lync Communication Server:
