Possible problems: - Ss. may not remember some words, useful to write a letter of application;
the frequent use of mother tongue

T greets the SS and sets the right mood for the
lesson by establishing rapport with them:
Hello, everyone! How are you getting on?

T checks homework.
Ss read their homework and correct it if
necessary. They had to write a letter of thanks
to a close friend.

T gives them a handout (1) and writes the title


on the Blackboard. Writing a letter of

application.
T asks Ss to read the indication from ex 1.
They have to read the rubric bellow and to
pay attention to the underlined words and
phrases. Then they have to answer the
questions that follow.
