sphericalward3000indiameter,whilstnotapropermythal,itcontainscertainsimilarcharacteristicsthathave
allowedittosurviverelativelyuntouchedbythetroublesthathaveplaguedmanyotherElvensettlements.Its
powersarefew,butmightyintheirapplication.

Thesquadsareofmixedraceandgenerallyworkwelltogether.Theiruniformsareskybluetabardswitha
silverswanemblem,setoverchainmailhauberks.Thesesamesquadsregularlypatrolthecity,anda20
mileperimeteraroundElvenport.Thecityitselfissurroundedbya30high,10thickcurtainwallof
grownstonewhosesurfaceissoslickandshinythatitpreventscreaturesfromclimbingit.Thewallis
magicallyenhancedtoreflectpureenergyandbeamattackssuchasdisintegratespellsandlightningbolts
backupontheirsource.

ThehomeofHighMageAerdruthSilvermist,andhisvarioushelpersandapprentices.Themageshereare

hallscanoftenbeheardthesonorouschantsofthetemplesskaldsandRuneChanters.Indeedalarge
amphitheatre,takesupalargesectionatthebackofthetempleandmanyaDwarven(epic)operais
performedhereinhonourofDumathoinandhispeople.Theinteriorofthetempleresemblesandvast
naturalcavernwhosewallsarelinedwithveinsofpreciousoresandmanygemsareembeddedinthe

viewer.Thewatersalsoformgatesthatallowinstantaneoustraveltotheplacesviewedinitscurrentcondition
andlocation.SomelegendslinktheFountainstothepowersofTappan,thedancinggodofthekorred,buthis
magicalFountainsaresaidtobeinapeacefulgladeratherthanamountainplateauorcave.Withintheslopesof
theeasternmostLostPeak,alongdeaddwarvenholdliesundisturbedasithasfor7centuries.Shouldanyone
discoveritsentrance,theydiscoveradwarvenminingfacilitystillfilledwiththeformsofdwarves.Mysteriously,
theentireplaceisdeadasareitsinhabitants,butsomefellmagicsholdeverydwarfuprightandinplace
performingtheactionthecorpsewasdoingwhenitdied.Whateverdestroyedthisplacekilledeveryoneunawares
andinstantly,asmostoftheskeletaldwarvesworkatminingorsmeltingatdusty,longdeadforgesorpounding

DireWoods

Thisstrange,hillylandwithintheeasternHighForestisnamedtheDireWoodsbecauseofalegendarymassacreof
humansthatcausedthesoiltoredden.ThisepicpredateseventhehoarytalesofNetheril,thoughfolktodayhave
otherreasonstolabelthisplaceasdire.TheDireWoodsboundariesaremarkedbyblack,petrifiedtrees.

Whileitsouterringcanbepacedouttomeasureafourmilecircumferenceofivorytrees,itsinteriordimensions
arefarmoreexpansiveandappeartomeasure100150mileswithintheperimeter.Whetherinsideorout,the
terrainoftheDireWoodconsistsofunevenhillsandundergrowth.Theterrainchangesonlyonce,withasingle,

designandconstruction.Itthensplitsintwo,headingnorthtothecityofMythGlaurach,andsouththroughthe
HighGaptotheAmmarindaarancityofNorthPeak.TheOldRoadisalwaysbusywiththecomingsandgoingsof
merchants,travelersandsoldiersastheymoveacrosstherealm.Smallerelvenhighwaysbranchofthismajor
