spokenvowelsounds.Inmostlanguagesoftheworld,allornearlyalllexicalwordshavevowelsounds,and
Englishisnoexceptionhowever,rhoticdialectsofEnglish(suchasmostvarietiesofAmericanEnglish)have
wordslikenurseandwordwithasyllabicrsound,butthesewordsaretypicallywrittenwithavowelletter
