Re:

Version mix-up in sending drawings and other issues

Dear John
I am writing from Treadwell Developers. Kindly allow me to draw your attention
urgently to the fact that there has been a mix-up in sending the drawings of the
Conference Center to us and the City Planning Commission. Instead of sending the
latest set of prints, corresponding to the change agreed upon in our review meeting
on the 14th, you have sent an old set dated the 10th. As a result, the set you have sent
us does not show the outside fire stair for the theater.
In addition, the following issues need to be addressed:
1. The outlining used by you to point out a change in tenant use function from
retail shop to restaurant in the Northeast Wing blocks out the lettering naming
the function. As a result my boss, Randy McNamara, had a call from Elizabeth
Beauchamp from the City Planning Commission. She is having trouble reading
the drawings because the readings are not clearly marked.
2. Ms Elizabeth also said she could not find the corrections we agreed upon after
our first meeting, and we found out that is because you have not outlined the fire
corridor change. You are supposed to clearly mark all the changes we have made
since our last review.
3. You have not drawn any match lines, and hence it is quite difficult to match one
drawing with another, an example being the drawings for the Northeast Wing.
In view of the above, I urge you to overnight a new set of drawings, showing all the
updates and corrections indicated above, to us and a duplicate set to Elizabeth
Beauchamp. Also, henceforth please do not send prints produced from poor quality
transparencies such as sepias. Make copies from original tracings.

I hope you understand the urgency of the situation, for if the prints do not reach the
Planning Commission on time, we might have to call them and reschedule our
meeting.

Yours faithfully

Re:

Enquiry for computer hardware, software and service

Dear Sir
I am writing from Lakeview Real Estate Agency, enquiring about your Acer 2100,
and any extra service that you can provide us. We intend to computerize all our
office functions, and would greatly appreciate if you could provide us the following
information:
1. We also require five or six copies of Microsoft Office, a combination
printer/fax/scanner, and a wireless router so that all the computers can share a
network. Kindly indicate the costs if we buy everything from you.
2. Also kindly tell us the discount you shall give if we buy five or six computers
(Acer 2100, as mentioned above) from you. Our budget is from $4000 to $5000
for the whole deal.
3. Kindly tell us about your after-sales support. We need installation and setting up
of the computers and the wireless network, so do you have a team to do it? If
not, can you recommend someone to do it for us?
4. Do you provide training for users? Kindly indicate the cost, if any, and the
procedure involved.

November 4, 2016

5. Do you provide any online, phone or other form of support? In case of hardware
or software problem, would you undertake onsite repairs? Also, do you provide
upgrades either before or after the expiry of the warranty?
Kindly reply to the above inquiries on or before 15th of May. Assuring you of
confidentiality for all your quotations and service offerings,

Yours faithfully
John Buckvold
