READ and PLAN 1
Read examples of learning objectives in the text Handout Samples learning outcomes
Social Studies. This text is part of a sample plan for social studies. Reading the learning
objectives youll guide you to choose the learning objectives for your plan.
Read also the objetivos de aprendizaje in the Diseo Curricular de Estudios Interculturales
1 y Diseo Curricular de Estudios Interculturales 2 for the escuelas orientadas en Lenguas
Extranjeras in the province of Buenos Aires.
After reading the examples in these texts, complete the learning objectives box in your
planning template for the unit In the eye of the beholder in the Cuaderno de Trabajo de
Educacin Secundaria Superior. Use the examples in the texts you have read as a guide to
write the learning objectives in your plan.

The selection of tasks is one of the most important aspects when planning a lesson. In the
text Handout activities for intercultural understanding you will find 9 examples of
activities we can use to raise students awareness on interculturality. Browse through the
activities and select one which can be used for the lessons of In the eye of the beholder.
You will probably have to adapt it to suit the topic and content of the unit and the learning
objectives.
Specify which task you will use in the Tasks box in the planning template.
Then, upload your planning template.

FORUM PARTICIPATION:
In this weeks Forum we are going to share our reflections on the process of selecting the
learning outcomes for your lesson plan of the unit In the eye of the beholder. We want
to hear from you in relation to all or some of the following:
difficulty in finding the learning objectives for the unit
usefulness of the reading material to exemplify learning objectives (the Handout
and the Diseos Curriculares)
considerations in relation to topic, contents and learning objectives (To what
extent did you bear these in mind?)
