Qi Men Dun Jia and Heaven Earth Man (, , )

Introduction

Have you ever wonder why when a regular shop front that is not so good business and when being
taken over by another owner, it become prosperous even though the new owner did nothing to the
shop? Do you know why bad luck befalls a person after moving into new house? There is also a case in
China where the owner of the house has no descendant after changing the house facing.

Why is this so?

The reason is that there is no support from either one of the elements: Heaven-Earth-Man (, ,
)

Heaven Earth Man (, , )

In Sun Zi art of war, it was stated: , which means, if there

is no support from Heaven, Earth and Man, even if you win the war, there will be calamity.

Confucius definition of is:

(Heaven): if now is spring then do not bother about summer or winters matter.
(Earth): if there is a small lake, then just say go to a small lake to swim. Do not say you are
swimming at big river.
(Man): if there are 5-6 adults then do not say that there are more than 100 people.
Whats the above really means is that a person should make full use of the Heaven, Earth and Man
elements in the natural state (i.e. follow the flow of nature)

Heaven ()
is literally means Heaven time. In the astrology point of view, it is basically when all the stars are
aligned that gives benefit to the person. In the Hour family of Qi Men Dun Jia (), we
basically choose the good Qi Men Dun Jia time to perform action. For example, for shop front, it will be
opening ceremony.

Earth ()
is literally means geography or landscape. This could be the house of the person we are auditing,
shop front of a business or the person office space. The surrounding landscape will be taken into
consideration.

Man ()
means human blending. It is the blending of human into the environment. This is the person that
we are helping. In Qi Men Dun Jia, we use the person birth date and time to plot a Qi Men Dun Jia chart.

What is Heaven Earth Man (, , )?

It is the person at the right place, at the right time doing the right thing.

All three components fit nicely into each other to form a complete harmonious energy. This is where we
achieve the balance of Yin and Yang with these three components working together.

So, if any one of the component is not good, then the entire energy is lopsided and hence break the
balance of Yin and Yang. For example, you can have a good Fengshui place and good bazi but you didnt
choose a good time to move in to the new place, then you only have Man and Earth aspect. You didnt
have the support from Heaven.

Likewise, if you choose a place that doesnt match your bazi, even though the place has a good Fengshui
landscape and good timing is chosen to move in, you will not benefit from it.

How Qi Men Dun Jia is used to address Heaven Earth Man (, , )?

First of all, we need the persons birth date and time. From the birth date and time, a Qi Men Dun Jia
chart is plotted.

Next we take measurement of the place facing and sitting. The place could be the person house, office,
factory or shop front. Just note that the Yong Shen () for each scenario is different. Basically, it is
best that we can choose a place that matches the person bazi. If the place chosen matches the person
bazi, then the person will benefit from the place. For example, the place Yong Shen () happens to
be the persons Sheng Men () then, it is beneficial to the persons wealth. On the other hand, if the
place Yong Shen () is the persons Si Men (), then the person bad luck will be expanded.

Last but not least, we choose a good time to connect all these elements together. A good timing is
important as this is when the Heaven element is activated, connecting to Earth element (place Yong
Shen ()) as well as Man element (the person bazi). So, when we choose a time in Qi Men Dun Jia,
the chart has to support the persons bazi as well as the place Yong Shen (). This is when Heaven
Earth Man are truly integrated and activated for the benefit of the person.

Unfortunately, we dont live in perfect world. It is not possible to have a single house that suite
everybody. As such, the Qi Men Dun Jia master has to take into consideration on who to benefit the best
and prescribe the appropriate solution for the rest.

Also, there is no such thing as perfect bazi. So, every bazi will has flaw in it. For example, a person will
fall sick eventually; no matter how healthy the person is. Therefore, adjustment is needed in term of
colour scheme used as well as the direction to travel or work. All these adjustment are done based on
the persons bazi.
